About: I’ve been walking, feeding, and caring for dogs and cats since I was a kid, growing up with pets all around me. They have always been part of our family. Over the years, I’ve cared for all kinds of dogs, and friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me with their pets, knowing they’re in good hands. At home, I have one dog and one cat. Xena, our 7-year-old lab/shepherd/husky mix, is a big fan of lounging at home, eating, and napping—but she’s also always up for walks and hikes! Our cat loves watching the birds from her favorite window perches, soaking up the view all day long. When I care for other pets, I make sure to offer plenty of playtime—indoors and outdoors—and we enjoy fun adventures together! I also have experience caring for senior dogs. Two of my most beloved companions just recently crossed the rainbow bridge, but I treasure the time we had together. All of our animals are adopted, and I believe every pet deserves love and attention. About Your Pet I want to know everything I can about your pet to ensure they feel comfortable, calm, and happy in my care. If your pet has any special needs, behaviors, or preferences, I’m all ears! My goal is to make them feel right at home, no matter their age or personality. With years of experience, what truly sets me apart is my personalized approach to pet care. I tailor my services to each pet’s unique needs, from energetic puppies to wise seniors. Whether it's managing playtime, giving medication, or offering comfort during recovery, I’m adaptable and dedicated to providing the best care for your pet. I make it a priority to create a nurturing, loving environment where every dog feels secure, happy, and loved. From cuddles and gentle massages to companionship, I go the extra mile to ensure your pet is in good hands. I believe building trust with both pets and their owners is essential, so I maintain open communication, attentiveness, and reliability to give you peace of mind. Your pet's well-being is my top priority, no matter their stage in life. I understand that routine is important, so I’ll do my best to follow your pet’s feeding, exercise, and sleep schedules to keep things as comfortable as possible for them. I am able to work from home so my schedule is quite flexible. I look forward with discussing with you what your needs for your pets are. Safety and Comfort are Key Whether I’m caring for pets at my home or yours, their safety and comfort are my top priorities. I conduct a thorough pet-proofing assessment to eliminate any hazards, and I make sure outdoor areas like gates and fences are secure. I keep harmful substances out of reach, and I’m trained in pet CPR and first aid, just in case of an emergency. I take time to understand each pet’s unique personality, preferences, and quirks. Through positive reinforcement, praise, and affection, I build a trusting relationship, so your pet feels comfortable and secure in my care. I also provide regular updates so you can always stay in the loop! What I Offer: Clean water, nutritious food, and cozy resting areas Enrichment activities and toys to keep them mentally stimulated Plenty of playtime and exercise to promote physical and mental health Quiet spaces for when your pet just needs to relax And of course, lots of love and attention! Before I Care for Your Pet To ensure the best care possible, I’d love to know: Does your pet have any medical conditions, allergies, or dietary restrictions? What’s your pet’s personality like? Any likes, dislikes, fears, or triggers? What’s their typical daily routine, including feeding times, exercise, and potty habits? What are your pet’s favorite toys, games, or treats? By gathering this information upfront, I can offer a tailored, fun, and comfortable experience for your pet. I can’t wait to meet them and start this journey of care together!

About: Hi, I’m Lauren, a dependable and experienced pet caregiver with a lifelong love for animals. I’ve had pets my entire life and currently care for both cats and a dog, so I understand just how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family members. I bring years of hands-on experience with dogs of all sizes, energy levels, and temperaments including rescues, seniors, and anxious pups. I offer reliable, personalized care tailored to your pet’s unique needs, whether that’s an energetic walk, a calm check-in, or anything in between. My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away and to give you total peace of mind. As a casual healthcare worker, my schedule is dynamic, but I’m flexible and can often accommodate pet care days, evenings, and weekends with proper notice given I provide a calm, pet-friendly home where animals are treated like family. I offer a safe, loving environment with plenty of attention, playtime, and comfort.

“Leigh-Ann was courteous and professional, and sent updates letting us know Tally was doing well. She has a beautiful big property in the woods which is great for dogs. She seemed to genuinely care about Tally's wellbeing.”

About: I grew up with dogs who've always been considered part of the family. As a lover of all animals, I've also had experience with cats, rabbits, rodents, and horses. I love being active in the outdoors and bringing my furry friends along! My bernedoodle Bailey and I often walk, run, hike, bike and ski among our local mountains and enjoy swimming in the lake on hot summer days. I've cared for dogs with high energy, low energy, puppies and seniors and am able to accomodate special needs your dog(s) may have. I'm a university student with a varying summer schedule, and am often out and about with my own dog. Don't hesitate to reach out with any dog walking, day care (partial or full day), or boarding requests. I have a 2 year old medium-large bernedoodle, Bailey, who is incredibly friendly, playful, affecctionate and gentle with smaller dogs. I'm comfortable caring for all ages, sizes and breeds of dogs, given that we've had a successful meet-and-greet and they are comfortable with Bailey if they'll be around her. I value maintaining the routines your pet is used to and fulfilling their needs and your requests for exercise and care. I am conviently located in town in Nelson with trails close by.

“My pup had a great day at daycare with Mitch and Jessica. He came home tired and slept great. Mitch and Jessica sent picture updates throughout the day and were both great. I would definitely recommend them and will be bringing my pup back in the future!”

About: I have always had pets… dogs, cats, llamas, iguanas to parrots and toucans and loved and spoiled them all passionately! You can relax while away, knowing your pet is content and cared for in the most loving way possible. I do prefer dogs to be 60 pounds or less. I am retired with lots of time to walk and play with your pets . I am live rurally, surrounded by nature, with a river at the back of my acreage and a rail/trail out front. I live on acreage. While your pet(s) is staying with me, he/she would always be leashed outside for walks. Inside however, my home would be their home and there'll be lots of cuddles and interaction.

“Super nice couple! Took care of my dog while on a ski trip. Even if my dog require a lot of outdoor time, he get her out multiple time during the day to make sure she's happy! Will definetly contact them again!”

About: I’m an experienced veterinary assistant who loves the outdoors. I have been around animals my whole life and practiced my vet assistant skills by volunteering in Mexico at spay and neuter clinics. I will treat your dog or cat as if they were my own. I have my own vehicle and I own my own home. Your pet will be in great hands 😊 I work for the Whistler Blackcomb Events department in the winter and in the summer I landscape. I have had both of these jobs for 4 years, since moving to Whistler. I am free in the evenings and days off will be devoted to your pet. I am an early riser, up for walks, always making sure your pet has ample outside time. My house is cozy and clean. I allow pets on my couch, as long as that is the same treatment they get at home.
