About: I’ve been lucky to grow up with dogs my entire life, and have turned my passion for dogs into a career. Over the years, I’ve developed a strong understanding of dog behavior, health, and training. As a veterinary technician with 10 years experience, I’m well-versed in pet health care, administering medications, managing first aid, and providing general wellness support. Previous to my work in veterinary medicine I worked as a dog groomer for 8 years. In addition to my work background, I’ve also volunteered with the SPCA, where I gained experience working with a variety of dogs, including large, reactive breeds. This experience has made me confident in managing challenging situations and using positive reinforcement techniques to help dogs feel secure and comfortable. I am also confident in caring for senior dogs who may have health concerns or special needs. I’m passionate about the outdoors and nature, so if your dog loves hikes, walks, or just being outside, I’d be thrilled to take them on adventures. Whether it’s a relaxing stroll through the park or a more challenging hike, I understand the importance of keeping dogs active, and happy. As a dog owner myself, I completely understand the uncertainty of leaving your dog in someone else's care. That’s why I want to assure you that I treat every dog as if they were my own—giving them the love, attention, and care they deserve. My schedule is currently very flexible so I'll be able to help out anytime you require care, whether that's a daily check in, walk or boarding services! Pet's are treated as part of the family in my house. I live with a well behaved 4 year old English setter. I like to keep things consistent with the guest dog's home routine and will follow any detailed instruction you provide.

“Erika was great! We felt so comfortable having Brodie stay with her, with the added bonus of getting some play time with sweet Juniper. I appreciated meeting beforehand so we could both ask questions. Highly recommend!”

About: Experience with active breeds needing quality exercise and mental stimulation. Flexibility with length and type of play as well. I’ve had dogs all my life, and raised my own from a teeny puppy to a loving senior. I’m currently off work so I have nothing but time to devote to your fuzzy friends. Weekdays or weekends are both open, if you have an active and well behaved dog I will happily take them on my trail runs, hikes, or ski tours. I have a fully fenced back yard and a friendly Australian shepherd of my own, located right next to endless trails as well. I can work with crates or with pups on the bed, whichever you prefer.

“Bowie had a great stay with Erin & Michael. They were flexible with timing, great with communication and kept us updated with plenty of pics.”

“Alex was an 11/10 sitter for my pup Bodhi! He was kind enough to accommodate a slightly last minute request and was excellent with communication. He updated me with photos and Bodhi seemed happy + exhausted upon arriving home, which is a sign of a fun-filled stay. I would absolutely recommend Alex if you’re looking for a caring sitter for your pet.”

“Awesome. My Arlo had a great time.”

“First time leaving deuce with someone other then friends or family. Got lots of pictures and updates throughout the stay. Got to go and do a meet the day before and see where deuce would be staying. We received regular video and photos of our precious kitty to keep us updated with how she was doing at what I affectionately call 'kitty cat boarding school'. We will definitely have Amanda on the top of our list for future cat sitting! We highly recommend her!”

Their space was perfect, amazing yard and a welcoming home!! I highly recommend them if you are looking for a fun and loving place to send your dog! ❤️”

“My senior dog Ivy is a bit shy, but Roberta made her feel right at home. She was professional and attentive, asking about Ivy’s needs and sending us regular photos and updates. Ivy looked happy and relaxed, and she even became good friends with Roberta’s dog, Harley. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience—highly recommend Roberta!”

About: Hi! My name is Rosa. I have lived with and cared for many dogs and cats, and done regular dog walking for many years. I have an intuitive relationship with animals - always creating a safe and nurturing environment for them. I look after any pet as if its my own - showing respect along with healthy boundaries. I am happy to take dogs on walks wherever you prefer and have a car so can head out to various locations outside of Nelson, as needed. Communication and trust are important to me, so I will happily call and provide updates, photos, and videos of your precious dogs and cats while pet sitting! I am very happy to adapt to whatever situation and your needs, so please get in touch if you would like to discuss anything further or if you have any questions at all! I'm currently working part-time / self-employed, so I will have ample time to care for your precious furry friends and be on a fairly flexible schedule for walks and feeding. Also looking for opportunities for long-term pet and house sitting from September onwards. In your home, I will carefully adhere to whatever safety precautions you have in place to protect your precious dogs and cats - be it keeping gates, doors or windows shut and crating when necessary. I am very attentive! I can send regular photo or video updates - just let me know what you need! I can only pet sit at your home, although doggy day-care is available in our large garden - which is fenced, with ample shade under a big magnolia tree, and grassy area to play on, we have a trampoline which the doggos love to nap under too!
