Angie was wonderful with Broly! This was my first time using Rover, and she made the whole experience much less stressful. She kept me updated throughout his stay with messages and photos, which I really appreciated. Broly can be a bit quirky and took some time to settle in, but Angie was patient, kind, and made sure he was comfortable. It was clear that she genuinely cared about his well-being. I would absolutely trust her with Broly again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter.

Mary & her husband were fantastic! I could tell that Missy would be well cared for and would enjoy her stay. Mary sent me pictures of their activities throughout the day. I felt very comfortable and at ease, knowing that my little girl was safe and in good hands. I definitely will pick Mary again!

Paige saved the day! We live 3 hours away from a cottage we rented in Zurich and upon arrival at the cottage, it turns out we are not allowed pets. We contacted Paige and she was kind enough to host our old dog, Sushi for the weekend on very short notice. She took really good care of him, and stayed in touch the whole time. Her communication is timely and clear. Really appreciated her help and would gladly recommend her to everyone I know.

Melissa took wonderful care of our fur babies! It was a short stay but Chocolate Chip and Remy had so much fun with her dog Willow and the other border, Chase. Little Remy really bonded with Melissa and ended up sleeping with her. He’s a picky eater and Melissa was so kind to hand feed him! Would definitely board our pups with her again.

This is the third time my dog has stayed with Alissa, and it’s always a fantastic experience. Alissa is incredibly attentive and loving, making me feel very comfortable leaving my dog with her. Alissa takes excellent care of my dog, who always comes back happy and well looked after. She regularly sends photos and updates, keeping me informed. About: I've had dogs my whole life. Most of the time more than one. I started looking into doing this on my own after I had such a hard time finding a place for my own babies when I went on vacation. There is a huge backyard for them to play. And plenty of space for them to sleep at night. There are plenty of doggy beds, but if you prefer to bring your babies bed/bedroom feel free to do so. I work from a home office. During the day, I take breaks and go outside with them for a bit. Other than that, they will have open access to a back yard to play all day long. Or if you or they prefer, we could keep them inside. I would providing the necessary potty breaks several times per day when I take a break. I'm very protective of all of them. As animals in my care, they are my responsibility to make sure they're kept safe. I take it very seriously.

Brandon was FANTASTIC with Sadie and Trixie. They were so excited to see us when we picked them up, but in a way we could tell they were super well cared for. They kept running back to Brandon to make sure he was good and telling him goodbye in their own way. We can tell they developed a great bond and consider him family. They were exhausted and slept the whole way home. This tells us they got tons of good playtime in. Communication was great. We will absolutely have Brandon watch our fur kiddos next time we need to go out of town.

About: Hey, I’m Jeremy! An animal lover, outdoor enthusiast, and long-time pet caregiver. I’ve been walking dogs since I was 12 and have experience with both cats and dogs since before I can remember. I currently have a cat who I’ve cared for over the past three years, and before moving out on my own, I helped take care of our family’s pets, including three wonderful dogs over the years. I was involved in all parts of their care: daily walks, playtime, feeding, and of course, the less glamorous tasks like picking up after them. I'm patient, dependable, and always aim to make animals feel safe and loved. When I’m not spending time with animals, I work full-time in administration and graphic design at a funeral home. I’m also an officer in the Canadian Armed Forces, working with the Cadet Program. I work with youth aged 12 to 18 at the Sarnia Army Cadets, helping them build confidence, leadership, teamwork, and outdoor survival skills in a structured, military environment. I offer dog walking, play dates, house and pet sitting, and pet sitting in my own home. I love getting to know each pet’s unique personality and making sure they feel happy, relaxed, and cared for. I’m also a photographer — so don’t be surprised if you get a few great shots of your furry friend during our time together! Whether it’s keeping your dog active or making sure your cat feels at home, I treat every pet like family. I can't wait to meet my new fur friend! I work full-time on a 3-week rotating schedule, but I always know my availability in advance. My weekends rotate like this: one weekend I work, the next is a long weekend (Friday to Monday off), and the third is a regular Saturday–Sunday off. I usually have one weekday off as well, which I can use for walks or pet visits. Most days, I’m also able to pop by during my lunch break—usually between 1:30 and 2:30—for a quick walk, play session, or check-in. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a fully fenced backyard for safe outdoor time and plenty of space inside for pets to relax. I do have a cat, but she keeps to herself and tends to avoid other animals, so there’s very little interaction unless your pet is especially curious. I keep my home clean, pet-friendly, and free of any hazards. Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or visiting yours, I always follow feeding routines, leash rules, and any specific instructions you leave. You’ll also get regular updates so you can feel at ease knowing your pet is in good hands.

FAQs for Dog Boarding - Camlachie

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of July 2026, there are 23 sitters on Rover offering Dog Boarding across Camlachie. Enter your postal code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Camlachie home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you
  • Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favourite hang-out spots in your Camlachie

Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
