“Maryanne and her husband took very good care of my young energetic dog Twinkle, an Irish Water Spaniel. My dog was with them for more than 3 weeks and when she came back home she was relaxed and totally herself. Maryanne was extremely responsive to my communication which made the transaction easy and my vacation stress-free. The cherry on top of the cake: 2 days prior to leaving, Twinkle started her period. I was afraid they would not take her but they were up for the challenge. Its a lot of additional care and hassle so I told Maryanne I would compensate her for the extra work it would give her : she requested a reasonable amount for compensation. I received a couple of photos during our trip and they highlighted Twinkle second birthday party with extra treats and a birthday hat. My daughter lives in the Okanagan Valley therefore, sadly I don’t get to spend nearly enough time with “our” Molly. Having said that, I do have lots of time to spend with your precious canine! I love walking and believe I would be a great companion for your dog when you can’t be there. I will strive to walk in different areas to provide visual interest to your dog and take the utmost care of him/ her at all times. I prefer on leash walks but am more than happy to play off leash games in your back yard. If your dog requires medication, I’m quite confident with that - recently Luna needed a course of injections and I was able to do that with no problems and obviously, I can feed your dog if required. At the moment I provide 2 kitties with regular overnight care and drop in visits. One of whom is diabetic & requires daily medication. I have lots of flexibility at the moment. I can offer week day and weekend service and am happy to tailor the length/ type of walk to suit your dog. I prefer to offer one on one care to deepen my bond with your dog. I am excellent housekeeper & live “lightly” in my clients homes.

I have experience with dogs that are shy, have anxiety, reactive dogs, animals with medical needs & seniors I love taking photos and videos and sending daily updates to the owners and making sure they know their pet is being taken care of and in good hands. I'm very responsible and in the 4 years I have always remained loyal to all bookings that I accept. I am very clean and respectful of homes and leave them neat and tidy Your pet and their schedule and needs will be top priority while in my care. I work around their feeding, walking, medicine and play time schedule. I love to play catch with balls & toys in the backyard, go walking & hiking, give treats (but not too many). I am very attentive on our walks and I make sure that not only the dog is safe but that it feels safe as well. If the dog is ok with other dogs, I love taking them to fenced in dog parks if the owner is ok with that. I have experience with a lot of different breeds and all levels of energy and anxiety. A lot of dogs I care for have anxiety but I am able to allow them to feels safe and distract them with walks, toys and exercise. I'm very good at reading dogs and making sure they are comfortable and happy. I've been told I have very good energy. I've been sitting for more cats lately and love playing, petting and scratching under chin and making them trust me and purr.
About: I have taken care of our own family dogs, friends and clients dogs. I love all dogs! As I am an Energy Healer, animals seem to relax in my presence. Nature and the outdoors are also my hobbies, so your dogs will get lots of fresh air and walks. I am self-employed and work part-time, often at home in Cowichan and a few times monthly in Victoria, thus my hours are flexible. Preference to sits in Duncan area and Victoria. Please note: I do Drop-ins ONLY in North Cowichan and Duncan proper. For safety purposes, homes would need to have cell service. Drop - in visits of one hour only Pet-sitting would be in your home, as I am not allowed pets where I live unfortunately. I am respectful of your home, and follow your wishes regarding care. Pets are cared for as if they were my own. Instructions are followed respectfully, and your fur babies will be in loving hands!
About: I have a very flexible availability since I’ve just finished my law degree and am home full time! I live near multiple parks (within 5 mins walking distance) and with lots of space in my home that your pup would love! I have a 5 month old mini dachshund puppy, and she is extremely friendly, social and would love to make new friends. I’ve been training her since she was 8 weeks old and I can also work with your pup on anything you’d like to re-enforce or newly introduce. I have past experience with dogs dealing with separation anxiety, I also implement crate training and enforced naps throughout the day and positive rewards. I also can potty train if needed! I only take 1 pet/booking at a time so I can give my full attention to your pup! Please do let me know if your pup is social or has any triggers (toy/food guarding) and is friendly to puppies, if your uncertain I strongly recommended a quick meet up prior to booking with your pup and mine to ensure a safe and fun day for them! I am home full time and my daily routine consists of caring for my own puppy, usually including playing and training and enforced naps and walks I live in a single dwelling home with a fenced yard with plenty of grass, and my home is split leveled so there’s plenty of space for your pup to run around and play. I’m not adjacent to a busy street so there are no noises that might make your pup anxious. I also have my own pup who would love a new friend (Please let me know if your pup shouldn’t be taking stairs or jumping, since I dont let my mini dachshund take the stairs or jump onto furniture due to any back injury risks so I carry her and I can do the same for yours!)
About: I have been pet sitting and dog walking for many years, I have experience with all pets. I have worked with all different sizes and breeds, I have also worked with different temperaments. I’ve dealt with shy and timid dogs, to aggressively not good with other animals or humans, and of course loving and super friendly dogs. Pets are my passion and I only have what’s best interest for them :) I have tons of references if wanted, I am super flexible and just happy to help with your furry family members. I am happy to just drop by and give a snuggle or out for a bathroom break, and I am also happy to stay at your home for as long as you need. About: I’ve had dogs since I was a child. I treat animals with respect. I have little well train dog from Mexico. Learning to train her has given me more confidence to handle other dogs. I’ve foster dogs several times and loved it. Your dog will be loved well cared for ❤️ Walks are in the morning (7am-10:30) and after 3 pm. One hour long and with or without my dogs company. Depends of the preference of the other dog. I follow the instructions that the owners leave as each dog has its own routine and it’s important to keep them on that schedule. In order to make the dog feeling stable and safe.
