“Our 5-year-old Pippin was a happy camper during his first holiday at Sandra’s and Jessie’s. He had, of course, met both of them at the ‘meet and greet’ at their home, but what really surprised us was how excited he was when we dropped him off. He knew precisely where we had taken him and he raced up their front steps and started barking with excitement at the front door. Clearly, Sandra and Jessie and their very sweet dog Daisy had made a great first impression! Both Sandra and Jessie are dog lovers and dog carers par excellence and that put Pippin and us at ease. Throughout Pippin’s two-week stay, Sandra sent us daily updates with photos, which was fun and informative. Pippin is an extremely well-behaved dog, so much so he never jumps on furniture (despite all our encouragement), but Sandra has a secret weapon—dog stairs for couch access!—and she taught Pippin how to use them. When I went to pick up Pippin, he was very excited to see me—lots of licks!—but he also turned to Sandra to give her licks, too, as if to say ‘thank you’. We have no doubt that Pippin will be delighted to spend more time with Sandra, Jessie and Daisy in the future!”

About: I lived with a friend on a hobby farm. She showed me the ropes. I learned how to take care of all animals big and small. I am willing and able to assist in medicine administration. I have tons of free time that I’d love to dedicate to ensuring your furry friend has their needs through the day and even when you’re on vacation I work full time in the city and I hardly ever leave the province and can dedicate as much time needed with your fur babies as you need! I’m very good with early mornings and late night visits. I won’t have pets in my home as I have a cat myself, but I will ensure I know where all food, treats, toys and everything else they require before you leave. I will ask for an emergency response plan in the event I need to get ahold of you asap. I also have my own reliable transportation and will ask for the vet you use in dire emergencies. I will also supervise play time as I know how quick everything can go sideways. I also am very clean, if there’s a mess from your pet, it’ll be cleaned. And I have no problem cleaning litter boxes as well.

About: I have had animals in my home since I was 7 years old. I have had a variety of different animals, and along the way they have all left an imprint on my heart in there own way and have taught me many lessons. I currently live on a farm, and have many animals and experience with many different types of animals. I have taken two training courses, and now train all our own animals. I have also fostered in Calgary for 8 years before moving to the farm. I have specialized in rehabilitation, shy, abused, fearful, and neglected animals. I give these animals grace, a loving, soft and caring place to be able to find forever homes, and in some cases my home was home. I have had seniors, wounded, babies, and sick animals in my home. We have also had new births and babies on the farm. I am truly meant to be taking care of animals, definitely my calling. Now that my kids are grown I left the school system, and I am getting back to what I love. This along with my farm are my commitments. I can devote all the time needed to care for your fur family as required. I have a fully fenced 2 acre area for dogs to play. I do have a heated shop, and outdoor run available, that always are accessable. I have rooms in my home that when we take in dogs it's designated their space. Free roam is all day when home. But unless I need to leave, for the safety of your animals, a round wire area is designated for your pet. Will also depend on frequency and relationship built, these dynamics could change over time.

About: I’ve had 5 dogs in my household since I was born. I trained 2 out of the five as I got older. I have pet sitted before and I have an absolute love for dogs. Currently we have adopted a puppy from fostering, we absolutely love her! We don’t know the breed or how big she will get but she’s been an absolute delight in our household! I always enjoy a good walk myself or a visit to a family friendly park with other dogs. Currently working on dog parks with my own puppy at home! Over the summer months would like to walk more dogs as my job is currently slow. I love the outdoors so I definitely enjoy taking my puppy for walks and to parks with nice scenic views. We enjoy visiting other dogs for play time for socialization! I enjoy playing with toys with our puppy, chasing a ball outside or teaching her how to be without a leash. About: I have owned and cared for dogs and cats in my life for over 50 years and have an amazing ability for having them relate to me. I am only working a full day on Friday's and my husband works out of a home office so I am very flexible regarding availability. About: Ever since I was a baby I’ve spent my life around animals from small to large, domestic to farm. I have always had a deep compassion for animals. As a child I always wanted to be around and with animals wanting to grow up working with them in any way. I have 5 years of experience working on a dairy farm and have worked at a doggy daycare. In 2023 I got my first puppy as an adult. Since then I have rescued 1, and had 2 rehomed to me as well. In my free time a few days a week I volunteer at the CHS taking dogs out for the day giving them a break from the shelter, showing them what everyday life looks like. Animals are already a huge part of my everyday life, so dog walking fits very naturally into my routine. I have a flexible schedule with availability every other week from 4:30pm–10:00pm, and on alternating weeks from 7:00am–10:00pm.
