Please note: In order for RedRover to receive charitable donations from Rover Dog Sitters, payments for dog sitter services must be booked and transacted on the Rover.com website.

RedRover focuses on bringing animals out of crisis and strengthening the bond between people and animals through a variety of programs, including emergency sheltering, disaster relief services, financial assistance and education.

- RedRover Responders shelters and cares for animals displaced by natural disasters and reconnects them to owners. We also shelter and care for animals rescued from puppy mills, hoarding cases and other significant abuse situations. In 2011, RedRover Responders deployed to 18 emergencies and helped more than 4,300 animals in the United States and Canada.

- RedRover Relief provides guidance and financial assistance to help pet owners, Good Samaritans and animal rescuers obtain urgent veterinary care. We also help domestic violence victims and their pets to safely escape abusive environments by providing assistance with boarding, transportation and veterinary care.

- RedRover Readers helps children explore the bond between people and animals through stories and discussion. We encourage children to share information about animals, reflect on the roles of animals in their communities and determine our collective responsibilities towards them.

- RedRover Reporters encourages people to watch for and report situations of abuse and neglect. We offer financial incentives to encourage witnesses of animal cruelty to come forward. RedRover also manages the My Dog is Cool campaign, which educates people about the dangers of leaving dogs in hot cars.
