About: I've adopted over 10 dogs from different sizes and breeds since I was 15. I like educating myself on dogs behavior and health issues from different kind of breeds. I'm currently working from home in my own business so I have plenty of time to take care of dogs in my own home. I have enough time to take dogs for a walk in between my business appointments and I'm free most of the weekends for boarding, dog walking and dog sitting. I have a fenced yard with plenty of space to run around and 5 well trained and friendly dogs. I have dog crates if needed.

About: I've cared for not only my own animals but animals of friends and aquantances since I was a child. I've cared for both dogs and cats, and a few other types of pets once or twice. I also enjoy photographing my own pets and can take pictures for clients, as I understand the feeling of getting homesick for your pets. My schedule is very free and flexible with the only possible exceptions being a few evening college classes and a few hours on Sunday nights. When I care for animals I prioritize their safety and autonomy and will make their safety and required tasks the first priority. I understand that many pets are afraid of new people, especially getting closer to them and showing affection twords them so I avoid any activity like that unless the pet initiates it or shows signs of agreeing with it. As well, home safety is very important and I'm always sure to lock the house and account for things such as lights being left on.

I have seen how caring and understanding she can be with animals, even ones like mine who can be a bit hard to get along with sometimes. With how much she played with him, and how patient she was, she grew on him pretty quickly. She always gave him space when he needed it and never pushed his boundaries. When sudden emergency happened, for example: my cat suddenly became completely lethargic and was vomiting while under her care, Leana acted quickly and even took him to the emergency vet for me because I couldn’t do it myself. He had fallen sick due to natural causes unrelated to the level of her care, but Leana still went out of her way to make sure he was able to get into surgery as soon as possible, and she kept me updated regularly throughout the entire process. I would recommend her both for long and short term care to anybody looking for a pet sitter.”
