I have worked with the SanTan Animal rescue, the Little Traverse Bay Humane society and friends and family over the years; walking training and helping with adoptions and am using my experience and education to give the best to your pet. I'm a modified traditional and clicker trainer. I will be working with your pet as well as you if you're interested in learning my methods. I strive to go the extra mile every visit with you and your pet. During my training I will leave my tips and tricks for you. Basic obedience is carefully implemented with every single interaction with every single dog. I have 3 dog myself. 2 service dogs and 1 puppy. I train every dog out of natural behaviors of my own. I respect every dog and every owner and their needs. I spend my days studying and writing training programs to fine tune my own approach in this ever growing world of man's best friend and the relationship with their owners. I'm open to taking care of many varieties of animals in the case you have more. I grew up on a farm for a large portion of my life and have always been amazed by the loving relationship with not only dog and human, but with any animal, big or small. Every visit is catered to training and maintaining good manners. My ultimate goal is to bring skills equivalent to a "Good Citizen" level of training even if we don't get much time I work to set steady foundations for success. Walks will not just be a easy breezy pull me around or softly walk through the neighborhood. We work on getting the dog tired and stimulated for maximum happiness of your pet. Dogs love figuring out challenges that help their comprehension of training grow and enhance the relationship between pet and handler. Seeing your dog improve on skills bring my heart so much joy sometimes I could just scream with excitement. Drop ins work pretty much the same, walking and doing house exercises to stimulate their brain and exhaust their energy in productive ways. I'll always leave tips tricks and techniques I may have used. In my home I train all day every day as I do my own dogs. Keeping their gears turning and growing their trust in me is highest of priority. My home is sectioned off into 3 parts in the case some dogs may not get along and need to be desensitized. There are 2 trainers in the home to assist with any training desensitization or other special needs your pet may have. And to take training to a comfortable but challenging level to expand that training. I always keep reflective gear and dog first aid kits on me while working with your pet. SAFETY FIRST! About: I didn't have pets as a child because we weren't allowed to but in my adult life I have taken care of many different kinds of animals. Including but not limited to birds, dogs, cats, snakes, geckos, fish, frogs and ducks. My children and I have always loved animals and are truly compassionate souls! My schedule is pretty flexible at this time due to me being self-employed. I have transportation and the ability to work week days and weekends. I prefer to not crate animals but I will if that is a request of the owner. I enjoy playing with and snuggling pets. Attention to detail is key to keeping animals and myself safe.

About: I've been around cats and dogs all my life, and one in particular that made me realize I wanted to work with animals. I unfortunately had to give up after I became homeless, and I've been told that I did an incredible job training him. He is the reason I have dedicated my life to the goal of dog training and opening a shelter/rescue. I've sat for many people over the years, and I'm exceptional at understanding a dogs feelings. I make sure they feel comfortable and happy, never fearful or sad. I don't look at myself as above any creature, but socially the dog must be at the "bottom" of the pack/family to ensure everyone's safety, especially the dog's. I don't mean as in alpha vs beta, dominance and aggression. I prefer the calm, assertive, and non violent approach when it comes to training, backed by modern dog behavioral science. I have a daughter who I'm adamant about teaching proper boundaries with animals, and teaching her to love and respect all creatures. She's a precocious, head strong, and wild little girl, and she absolutely loves cats and dogs. I also offer training for your babies should you need it. If your dog has trouble listening; pulling on the leash; dashing out of the front door; resource guarding; aggression; whatever the problem behavior is, I can help you train them to behave the way you need them to for your safety, other people's safety, and most importantly for their own safety. If you need training, you can message me, and we will set up a meet and greet for that so we can start our sessions, because I'll need you to participate in training if we want to keep those behaviors. My schedule is completely open for any and all of your pet care needs. I have two cats and a dog of my own, so let that be known before booking me for daycare and boarding. I will care for your pet the same way that you would. Let me know your routine and I'll be sure to get it done in that exact manner. The key to caring for our animal companions (especially dogs) is consistency, so it's important that we all care for them the exact same way.
