How to make: homemade doggy deodorant

It’s normal for your dog to smell like… well, like a dog! But if your pooch has a bit of extra pong going on, you might want to consider this homemade deodorant using natural ingredients.

Remember, you’ll want to avoid giving your dog too many baths, so why not use this recipe to keep your dog smelling fresh, and check out this homemade recipe for dry shampoo, for those in-between-baths-smelly moments?

Ingredients:

  • 450ml of water
  • Fresh mint leaves
  • Fresh rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar

Preparation:

  • Boil the water.
  • Add the mint leaves, rosemary and vinegar.
  • Cover the pot and simmer for around 10 minutes.
  • Leave it to cool.
  • Pour the liquid into a clean spray bottle using a funnel.

The natural herbs in this spray help to reduce odour and the vinegar gives a lovely shine to your dog’s coat.
