“We were very pleased with our experience with Lindsay! As first time ROVER customers, she graciously addressed all of our questions and made it a seamless process. Our dog absolutely loved her time there with new playmates. She seemed comfortable and content and was obviously well cared for. We would not hesitate to book with Lindsay in the future and we highly recommend her as a ROVER care provider.”

“Michelle is great! She truly makes your dog feel at home! When you are away you know your pup is in good hands with her. She sent multiple pictures updating you through the stay and sends your pup home happy and tired from all the fun! Thank you again Michelle!”

“Yukia did a great job with Blaze!!! I could tell my pupper loved being with her and her wonderful family!!! Highly recommend!!! She constantly updated me with how Blaze was doing with pics!!”

“Janice and Stalio took amazing care of our dog Charlie! Couldn’t be happier with the experience and they were exceptionally understanding when our return flight was cancelled due to the winter storm and we were delayed coming home. Would highly recommend.”

“Shuling was outstanding with her loving care for our 4 year old Venus. She followed our feeding instructions and provided pictures and/or videos daily. The pics showed how happy Venus had adjusted in her home with her dog Bear and other dogs at times. Shuling could be a photographer because she took the best pics. I am so thankful for the loving care Shuling provided for our pup. This was the longest we left Venus and she was well taken care of. I believe Venus is missing her new friend Bear because when I mention his name she gives a positive response. We will definitely use Shuling in the future. I would highly recommend Shuling for anyone considering a dog sitter. Thanks again Shuling and your family!”

“We’re so grateful for the great care Katelyn took of Hank! And appreciate all the communication - receiving pictures, videos, and updates on how well it was going. It was our first time entrusting Hank to a dog sitter so I was nervous but it went perfectly!”

“Hester was absolutely wonderful! Sent us updates on our boy while we were out of the country and shared about all the fun he was having. Would definitely rebook and recommend!!”

“Dana’s house was a perfect spot for our dog! She has a great fenced in yard and sent multiple photo updates reassuring us that our doggo was having a great time. Her location was a perfect stop on our way to the beach. Would definitely recommend!!!”

“Elena did an amazing job with our Old English Sheepdog Lady. I could really tell that she loves taking care of animals, and she did a great job. Our dog was pretty nervous as she went to the vet the day before, but Eleana made her feel at home and I thank her for that. I highly recommend her.”
“Jason and Tracy were wonderful. Our dog is a rescue and has some anxiety issues. They understood and were so patient with her. They also sent me pictures every day. I knew that she was completely safe and happy while we were away. Thanks to both of you!!”

“Carlie took such wonderful care of our 11 year old Golden. She and her children spoiled him with all kinds of love and attention. I felt very comfortable leaving him while we were on a week long vacation.”

“Jasmine was wonderful! She kept both of my dogs over a long weekend and they had so much fun. She sent daily pictures and videos and she was always in contact with me. I will definitely use her again.”

“Kimberly and her family took great care of our dog Winnie while we were away over the holiday break! She sent pictures every day of her enjoying time inside and outside on her walks about the neighborhood. We are so grateful that we found them and will definitely use her in the future! Thank you, Kimberly!”

“Diana completely spoiled my pup! Absolutely wonderful. She sent tons of photos of my dog frolicking on the beach and running around her big backyard. She came home rested and recharged like she had been on a five star vacay. Happy pup, happy mom!”

“Our dog spent two nights with Rich, and he absolutely fell in love with him. When I came to pick him up, he was thrilled to see me but clearly reluctant to leave Rich's place. I’m confident that Rich took wonderful care of him and kept him entertained the entire time. Rich is kind, considerate, and genuinely the best sitter we’ve ever met.”

“Marliez took amazing care of Ozzie. He walked with her Husky Wolf several times a day receiving plenty of needed exercise. Oz was received as part of her family. I could tell from the photos he was really enjoying his stay and looking forward to go back. Marliez paid attention to the nuance of my dog's antics to adjust to him. She is a wonderful sitter”

- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
