“Lindsay is absolutely amazing! She treated our furr baby like her own. We are so grateful to have came across her. We will definitely be booking with her in the future. ??”

“Another stay with Carlie and we cannot recommend her enough! We always have such peace of mind with her daily updates and photos and knowing that our pup, Indi, is safe and having fun. Indi gets her own vacation when she stays here and we love knowing that our she gets to enjoy herself, too! Between Carlie's loving and kind family, the huge bonus yard, and Carlie's attention and ability to continue medicine (she even notices any behavioral changes!), we just know we've made the right choice. Do yourself a favor, and get on her schedule for your pup sitting needs! :)”

“Shuling was amazing for our Ivy. She accommodated us last minute, sent pictures throughout the day, Ivy was able to run and play in a dedicated area in the backyard, and we plan to use her again.”

“Katelyn is amazing and helped our family on short notice when we had to fly to another state for a funeral. She took amazing care of Gary and he was well-loved by her children and her husky, Balto. I highly recommend her!”

“Celena was great with our 7 month old pup, Ace! He had so much fun at her house. She sent us many pictures and videos several times a day and for all of them he was playing and have the best time with her dog and her family. We would definitely book Celena again!”

About: I’ve lived with dogs and cats my entire life and have over 15 years of hands-on experience caring for pets. Growing up, my mom had five dogs—some of which had puppies—and I helped raise and care for them. I’ve also cared for cats in multi-pet households, including feeding, litter box maintenance, and creating calm, safe environments for shy or senior cats. Neighbors, friends, and family have trusted me for years to walk, feed, bathe, and care for their pets while they’re away. I now have a black Yorkie of my own, and I treat every animal I care for like part of the family—whether they bark or purr! I currently work part time- and have lots of free time! I will send out a daily schedule of what I’ll be doing with the pets! I will take your dog out on walks on our neighborhood trail outside! I also have a few ring cameras, and will send a lot of pictures/videos throughout the day.
“Brigid took care of my senior girl, Chloe, for 4 nights. She was open to a last minute meet and greet. She accommodated Chloe’s senior needs, sent updates, and gave a nice verbal summary at how Chloe’s time went and included things she will miss about her. Chloe seemed content when I arrived, often going over to Brigid several times while we packed up all of her things into the car. Being a dog sitter myself, I found comfort in that, considering they were strangers just days before. I would recommend Brigid!”

“Danielle took great care of my dog while I was away! Sadie was happy and well cared for when I picked her up. Danielle was responsive and sent me regular updates so I knew Sadie was happy and safe. I highly recommend Danielle!!”

“Jillian was the best! She treated our pet just as her own, and continuously provided us with heartwarming updates. We will definitely be using her in the future.”

“Marliez took amazing care of Ozzie. He walked with her Husky Wolf several times a day receiving plenty of needed exercise. Oz was received as part of her family. I could tell from the photos he was really enjoying his stay and looking forward to go back. Marliez paid attention to the nuance of my dog's antics to adjust to him. She is a wonderful sitter”

“Justine was great. She has lots of experience, and a bunch of energetic playmate pups! I appreciated the quick drop-off/pick-up without a hassle. She’s quick to respond and sent pictures throughout the day.”

“Willow had the best time with Shelby and her pup Ellie. Instant best friends. I felt totally confident that our 4 year old dog was having a vacation all her own the entire weekend. Lots of time outside, on walks, playing, and snuggling. 100% would recommend and feeling so happy we have a go-to sitter :) thank you guys!”

“Janice and Stalio took amazing care of our dog Charlie! Couldn’t be happier with the experience and they were exceptionally understanding when our return flight was cancelled due to the winter storm and we were delayed coming home. Would highly recommend.”

“Kimberly and her family were fantastic. My dog seemed super happy during her stay. I received a photo and note every night. I will definitely be booking with them in the future.”

“We highly recommend Candice! She will love your pup as her own! She took great care of our pup and sent lots of photos. She has a big yard and room for the pups as well! Our dog also has a bit of energy so it was perfect that he could play with her pup as well. He came home worn out and well loved!!”

“Jeren did an amazing job with my dog! She was even flexible with my pick up time when my flight got delayed. Would definitely recommend if your dog likes other dogs and is very shy like mine”

“Elena is confident, professional, and I felt secure while my dog was under her care. She asked the necessary prescreening questions to ensure it was a good fit- which I appreciated. There were plenty of long walks, beach trips, photo updates, and play time with Elena & family. Would highly recommend and will be looking to rebook in the future. Thank you Elena!”

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Queenstown home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Queenstown.

Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MD ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
