Ik ben een zeer ervaren huizenruiler en heb 14 jaar via uitwisselingen op huizen en huisdieren gepast in - en buiten Europa. Ik weet dus hoe het is om dieren bij iemand achter te laten en om voor andere dan eigen dieren te zorgen. Sinds 2024 heb ik zelf geen dieren meer. Mijn vaste oppas hond (was 15) en vaste oppas poes (was 17) zijn inmiddels overleden. Via een grote Britse website pas ik op momenteel op honden en katten in het buitenland in ruil voor een verblijf zodat ik kan reizen. Via Rover.com zoek ik honden waarop ik kan passen als ik thuis ben. Ik maak nog wel steeds graag een uitzondering voor oppassen in bepaalde gebieden in Londen, in het bijzonder rondom Hyde Park, maar ook veel andere parken daar zijn geweldig voor honden: St James's Park, Regent's Park, Battersea Park, Holland Park, Primrose Hill, en Hampstead Heath. Mijn ervaringen hebben me flexibel, vindingrijk en bekwaam gemaakt om met uitdagingen om te gaan die zich tijdens de afwezigheid van de eigenaar kunnen voordoen. Ik hou zoveel contact met eigenaren als ze dat willen zodat ze op de hoogte blijven over het welzijn van hun dier(en) terwijl ze weg zijn. Af en toe pas ik bij mensen thuis op mits zij op redelijke afstand wonen en goed te bereiken zijn met openbaar vervoer. We zullen daarvoor moeten spreken over de reiskosten aangezien die per keer zullen verschillen. Als ik bij u thuis oppas respecteer ik uw huis. Ik ben netjes en ordelijk en zal uw huis altijd in de staat terugbrengen waarin u het heeft achtergelaten. Ik nodig geen gasten uit en bemoei me niet met persoonlijke eigendommen. And cuddles, loads of cuddles! One of us works fully from home and the other one does 65% home office. Weekends are chill with extra long walks, either close to home or we take the cargo bike to explore places with our pawed friends. The garden is fully enclosed and there is always one of us at home. We live near the fields and many off-leash areas where dogs can happily play and occasionally meet a friend.

Ondertussen heb ik een eigen hond samen met mijn partner Sil, Frida een border collie. Samen trekken we er graag op uit, de natuur in om te wandelen. We zijn flexibel en kijken naar wat uw huisdier nodig heeft, en wat goed is voor hem/haar.

When I had him and after that I keep pet sitting to experience abundance and unconditional love and the inspiration I experience is not comparable with anything. Een tijd lang gaf ik hondentraining bij een vereniging, daar kwamen alle rassen en mixen voorbij. Daarnaast hebben we van huis uit veel opgepast en gewandeld met allerlei honden uit de buurt. Kennis van rassen en hun behoeften is dus ruim aanwezig :) Ik werk vanuit huis en heb de mogelijkheid dat flexibel in te delen. Dat geeft de mogelijkheid om bijvoorbeeld extra lang te wandelen met jouw hond of wat langer jouw kat gezelschap te houden. Een uitlaatronde kan worden aangevuld met training, het aanleren van trucjes, apporteren of zoekspelletjes. Wil je juist dat er langer gewandeld wordt met jouw hond? Dan kan dat natuurlijk ook :) In beperkte mate is oppas bij mij thuis mogelijk, mits jouw hond sociaal is met katten en de hond niet te groot is. Zoek je iemand die jouw kat(-ten) extra liefde en aandacht geeft? Ik heb er zelf 2 en heb de nodige oppaservaring. Iedere kat is anders en in overleg met jou bepalen we hoe we ze het beste kunnen verzorgen en vermaken wanneer jij er niet bent. Inzet van voerpuzzels, verstoppen van snoepjes, omwisselen van speeltjes. Ik denk graag met je mee.

Over: Hi! I'm Jess and I am a dog mom to 12-year-old Siberian Husky, Luna. She is a sweet, energetic, confident dog who loves all kinds of people and other dogs. She has lived and traveled all over the U.S. (over 20 states!) and now has made her way with us across the ocean to The Netherlands. Even before becoming a Rover sitter, I cared for friends' and neighbors' dogs on many occasions including a beagle, a husky and a golden retriever and grew up with shih tzu and a cockapoo, who I loved to play with and walk around the neighborhood. I’ve also stayed with dogs who are crated and am comfortable with crate commands. For their safety, I highly recommend crating puppies under 2 years old and any dog with a pattern of chewing or swallowing household items (remotes, pillows, etc.) when you are not home. Crate-trained pets will be crated per the owner’s instructions. Having an 11-year-old husky means I have had my fair share of experience with unexpected veterinary visits and emergencies. I am comfortable communicating symptoms to veterinary professionals with thorough details as needed. I have years of experience monitoring pets’ symptoms when they are sick, providing at home first aid, and acting quickly when additional care is needed. Veterinary Care & Emergency Transport Policy: While veterinary care and especially emergency veterinary care is a rare circumstance of a booking, pets can be unpredictable. When a medical facility advises veterinary care based on a description of symptoms over the phone, pet sitter will advise seeking veterinary care. If pet owner objects to seeking veterinary care when medically necessary, pet owner will be responsible for either taking over care of their pet themselves or securing a different caregiver expeditiously. To ensure the pet sitter is adequately compensated in extenuating circumstances, please be advised that for any unexpected or emergency travel or transport, pet sitter will provide receipts and apply a charge for reimbursement of costs incurred to your booking. An additional charge will also be applied to the cost of your booking at an hourly rate starting at the time of departure to the vet and ending at the time of either arrival to your home or, if your pet is required to stay at the vet, departure from the vet + time it takes to travel to the pet sitter’s home from the vet. This will include any additional trips back and forth to and from the vet to visit or pick up your pet based on the roundtrip to the vet from pet sitter’s or your home. Hourly rates are as follows: 8am-5pm: €10/hr 5pm-10pm: €12/hr 10pm-8am: €16/hr Holidays & Weekends: €18/hr *veterinary emergency room visit wait times can exceed 8 hours on weekends and holidays Cleaning & Vehicle Damage Policy: If pet sitter is required to clean up bodily fluids due to illness (vomit, urine, blood, diarrhea, etc) in order to maintain a safe environment in your home, their own home, or their personal vehicle, a one-time fee of €40 will be applied to your booking. The pet sitter will also require reimbursement by the pet owner for any cleaning supplies that are not readily available in the pet owner’s home. Injury To Pet Sitter Policy: If, under any circumstance, the pet sitter is injured by a pet, the pet sitter will require reimbursement for related medical expenses by the pet owner.

Mijn vaste oppas hond (was 15) en vaste oppas poes (was 17) zijn inmiddels overleden. Via een grote Britse website pas ik op momenteel op honden en katten in het buitenland in ruil voor een verblijf zodat ik kan reizen. Via Rover.com zoek ik honden waarop ik kan passen als ik thuis ben. Ik maak nog wel steeds graag een uitzondering voor oppassen in bepaalde gebieden in Londen, in het bijzonder rondom Hyde Park, maar ook veel andere parken daar zijn geweldig voor honden: St James's Park, Regent's Park, Battersea Park, Holland Park, Primrose Hill, en Hampstead Heath. Mijn ervaringen hebben me flexibel, vindingrijk en bekwaam gemaakt om met uitdagingen om te gaan die zich tijdens de afwezigheid van de eigenaar kunnen voordoen. Of het nu gaat om lange wandelingen, spelen of juist rust en knuffelmomenten. Ik pas mij aan aan wat uw hond nodig heeft. Bij mij is uw hond in betrouwbare en betrokken handen. Momenteel werk ik niet en wil ik wel nog bezig zijn met dingen waar ik om geef. Dus heb ik alle tijd om de dieren zoveel mogelijk aandacht en liefde te geven. Ik ben flexibel en pas mijn zorg volledig aan aan de behoeften van uw hond of kat. Zo beschik ik over een bench voor honden, meerdere kamers die kunnen dienen als rustige plekken, en een beschutte tuin waar dieren veilig kunnen spelen en ontspannen. De omgeving hier is ook heel toegankelijk en fijn voor honden. Leuke wandelgebieden. Mijn eigen Border Collie is sociaal en kan goed grenzen aanvoelen, wat zorgt voor een harmonieuze omgeving. Voor katten die minder gewend zijn aan honden kan ik gemakkelijk aparte ruimtes creëren, zodat iedereen zich veilig en comfortabel voelt. Ik ben in principe altijd thuis en zorg ervoor dat het verblijf van uw huisdier zo aangenaam en stressvrij mogelijk is, met veel aandacht, liefde en persoonlijke zorg.
Over: We have had dogs for the past 5 years. We go everyday for walks in the fields where they can happily dog around. We also do daily training exercises at home to keep challenging them mentally. And cuddles, loads of cuddles! One of us works fully from home and the other one does 65% home office. Weekends are chill with extra long walks, either close to home or we take the cargo bike to explore places with our pawed friends. The garden is fully enclosed and there is always one of us at home. We live near the fields and many off-leash areas where dogs can happily play and occasionally meet a friend.

Over: I've taken care of my female boxer when I was 11 and now, 20 years later, my best friend is my golden-roller retriever Chef Cappuccino. I cook his food, all his snacks are 100% meat, and I am training him with the STSK9 method. I am highly aware of body language, have knowledge of neuroscience of dogs' brain, provide somatic exercises after walks to relieve stress, and do fitness exercises to take care of the muscles and bones. I am working fully remote, so the dogs will always have someone with them. I live nearby open fields - perfect for getting away from the stressful urban environment. I provide both mental and physical fulfilment - walk my own dog 3-4 times a day (min 30' each), play different games, training (fitness and obedience). I clean their paws and do a general wiping after every walk to avoid infections. I have a fenced garden and a house big enough for each dog to have its room (if needed). A crate is also available either for training or chilling. Bed, towels, toys are also available.
