Op latere leeftijd heb ik meer dan 10 jaar mijn eigen agapornissen gehad (lovebirds), waardoor ik veel ervaring heb opgedaan met dagelijkse verzorging, verantwoordelijkheid en het begrijpen van de behoeften van een huisdier. Op dit moment heb ik zelf geen huisdieren meer en ik merk dat ik het gezelschap van dieren erg mis. Daarom vind ik oppassen op huisdieren zo leuk. Regelmatig pas ik op de dieren van familie en vrienden, en ik geniet er echt van om tijd met dieren door te brengen. Of jouw huisdier nu houdt van lange wandelingen, spelen, knuffelen of gewoon een vertrouwd gezicht in huis, ik zorg ervoor dat ze zich veilig, comfortabel en geliefd voelt! /ENGLISH I grew up surrounded by animals and have cared for many different pets over the years, including cats, dogs, parrots, fish, and rabbits. I also spent many years horse riding. Later in life, I had my own lovebirds (agapornis parrots) for more than 10 years, which gave me plenty of experience with daily pet care, responsibility, and understanding the needs of animals. At the moment, I don't have any pets of my own anymore, and I really miss having animals around. That's one of the reasons I enjoy pet sitting so much. Since I moved away from Greece, I miss every day my family dog but I find joy in taking care my friend's and colleague's pets while they are away and I love every second of it. Mijn hond Mees, een lieve rescuehond uit Roemenië, gaat niet goed samen met katten. Daardoor mis ik het ontzettend om katten om me heen te hebben en lekker met ze te kunnen knuffelen. Juist daarom lijkt het mij geweldig om als kattenoppas aan de slag te gaan. Ik doe dit niet alleen om te helpen, maar vooral omdat ik oprecht geniet van het gezelschap van katten. Je kunt erop vertrouwen dat jouw kat alle aandacht, liefde en verzorging krijgt die hij of zij nodig heeft. Ondertussen heb ik een eigen hond samen met mijn partner Sil, Frida een border collie. Samen trekken we er graag op uit, de natuur in om te wandelen. Als uw huisdier bij ons thuis verblijft dan delen ik en mijn partner de zorg over uw dier. Sil heeft veel ervaring met veel verschillende honden, heeft bij een hondenschool en dagopvang gewerkt. Of uw huisdier jong of oud is, of op een andere manier speciale aandacht nodig heeft, dat is geen enkel probleem. Momenteel studeer ik, daarnaast heb ik genoeg tijd om voor uw huisdier te zorgen, en anders springt mijn partner bij als het nodig is. We wandelen meerdere keren per dag met onze hond Frida dus als het te combineren valt is helemaal mooi meegenomen. En om voor katten in hun eigen woonomgeving te verzorgen is altijd mogelijk. We wonen op de eerste etage in een mooie groene buurt, de balkonzijde van de woning is heel rustig en zonnig. We zijn flexibel en kijken naar wat uw huisdier nodig heeft, en wat goed is voor hem/haar.

Over: I've taken care of dogs back home since I was little, be it family or friends dogs. In Rotterdam I also started walking dogs through other platforms. I love animals and I believe they are an important part of anyone's life. I'm currently a 1st year psychology student at Erasmus, so I have a pretty flexible schedule, with 3 or 4 days off a week where I can watch or walk any pet. I have experience giving medication to pets and I believe I'm fairly good at cleaning after them as well. I am patient, I believe animals should not be treated as toys.

Over: Since I was little I've cared for dogs, both big and small, and their puppy litters and I've also fostered stray puppies we've found and given them a safe home. Currently I have 2 lovely dogs (one Rhodesian ridgeback and 1 local breed) and 3 cats at home back in Tanzania with my parents. I'm a student taking a gap year before i enter university while also redoing some of my examinations, so I have ALOT of extra time on my schedule everyday. While I'm not studying Rover is an opportunity for me to mix my love for animals while keeping myself busy and exploring new areas of Utrecht that I have yet to see ( AND taking cute pets on walks because who wouldn't want that??!) i dont have any pets living with me at the moment since im in a new country but usually at home my pets are very free around the house as they're behaved fairly well and i take my dogs on regular walks and hang out with both my cats and dogs like i would with my own best friend.
Over: When I was eight years old, my mother adopted a small stray dog, and I have been taking care of him ever since. We grew up together. As a student with a light class schedule, I have a lot of free time that’s also very flexible. I am additionally comfortable with senior dogs who need calm over chaos and dogs with specific routines or sensitivities. I ask for: honest answers on the intake form and a quick meet-and-greet before boarding or sitting bookings. Pet care isn't something I fit around a busy schedule, it is the priority when I have a booking. I work from home, which means dogs in my care aren't left alone for long stretches during the day. Walks, feeding, rest, and outdoor time follow your dog's natural routine as closely as possible, not mine. I keep bookings small so I'm never stretched across too many dogs at once. My home is calm, dog-proofed, and already shared with 2 dogs of my own, so incoming dogs arrive into a settled environment. Before any boarding or sitting booking I use a detailed intake form covering health, behavior, feeding, and emergency contacts, plus a meet-and-greet to make sure it's a good fit. I use a signed agreement with every client. If something feels off with a dog during a stay such as appetite, energy, behavior, I notice and I communicate that. Owners hear from me with updates; they don't have to chase me for them.

I currently have 4 guinea pigs of my own called Elvis, Sprout, Nugget & Crumpet that live in their own piggy palace and would love to have a dog once we have a bigger outdoor space. I grew up with a working cocker spaniel called Bramble who I absolutely adored. Since moving to The Netherlands in 2023, I’ve found petsitting to be an amazing way to meet all kinds of animals (and their humans!) whilst exploring more of this wonderful country. Inmiddels woon ik samen met mijn vriend, onze 2 katten (Lotje en Bobbie) en hond Noor. En naast het verzorgen van mijn eigen dieren, pas ik ook regelmatig op honden, katten, konijnen en paarden van anderen. Noor zal dan ook vaak mee gaan met de wandelingen. Het kan zijn dat ik wandelingen van honden combineer, de groepen zullen niet groter zijn dan 4 honden en vaak zelfs kleiner. Indien dit niet gewenst is kunnen de mogelijkheden besproken worden. Ik kom uw hond ophalen en rij vervolgens naar een veilig uitlaatgebied waar ik 30 of 60 minuten met ze ga wandelen. Mijn werkgebied is alleen onder de Lek. Stuur mij een berichtje en dan kunnen we samen uw wensen bespreken. De verzorging van de dieren doe ik in overleg met de eigenaar. Wij bespreken de wensen en kijken wat de mogelijkheden zijn. Indien we hier uitkomen zal er een kennismaking plaatsvinden. Ik verzorg de dieren naar wens van de eigenaar. Dit is ook de reden dat ik graag vooraf de wensen bespreek om te kijken of dit passend is. De verzorging is altijd bij het baasje thuis en doe ik met veel liefde. Het dier krijgt bij een bezoek 30 minuten knuffels als ze daar behoefte aan hebben.

My most defining experience: I spent six months living in Greece, where I rescued street dogs, nursed them back to health at home and provided medical care. Over: Ik ben Kees, 27 jaar, en ik hou ervan om buiten actief bezig te zijn — het liefst samen met een hond. Naast mijn studie klinische psychologie (vanuit huis) werk ik graag met dieren, omdat ik interesse heb in gedrag en het leuk vind om honden goed aan te voelen en op hun gemak te stellen. Tijdens het uitlaten kijk ik naar wat een hond nodig heeft: een rustige wandeling, spelen of juist extra beweging. Ik wandel graag actief en ga consequent en duidelijk met honden om, zodat zij structuur ervaren en zich veilig voelen. Betrouwbaarheid en een fijne, veilige wandeling staan daarbij altijd voorop. Ik ben opgegroeid met blauwe keeshonden en heb daarnaast regelmatig opgepast op honden van vrienden en familie. Honden die bij mij verblijven hebben toegang tot een ruime, afgesloten tuin waar zij veilig kunnen spelen en ontspannen. Naast een ruime tuin ga ik graag wandelen in het bos waar ook een groot losloopgebied is. Ik maak graag kennis, zodat we kunnen kijken of het een goede match is voor jou en je hond. Op dit moment studeer ik grotendeels vanuit huis, waardoor ik het grootste deel van de dag thuis ben. Daardoor kan ik de hond veel aandacht, gezelschap en regelmatige wandelingen geven. Als ik even weg moet, is dat meestal maximaal twee uur. Waar mogelijk neem ik de hond ook graag mee, zodat hij of zij zo min mogelijk alleen hoeft te zijn. Ik woon in een appartement op de eerste verdieping (zonder lift) met een ruime, volledig afgesloten tuin. Thuis wonen ook twee rustige vrouwelijke keeshonden van 10 jaar oud. De tuin kan indien nodig worden opgedeeld, zodat honden hun eigen ruimte hebben en rustig aan elkaar kunnen wennen. In huis zorg ik voor een veilige, rustige omgeving en let ik goed op de behoeften en het ritme van de hond.
