Ik ben een zeer ervaren huizenruiler en heb 14 jaar via uitwisselingen op huizen en huisdieren gepast in - en buiten Europa. Ik weet dus hoe het is om dieren bij iemand achter te laten en om voor andere dan eigen dieren te zorgen. Sinds 2024 heb ik zelf geen dieren meer. Mijn vaste oppas hond (was 15) en vaste oppas poes (was 17) zijn in 2025 overleden. Over: Hello ! I am Ana and I live with my partner Pablo and our dog Piko, a male 6 year old medium-sized dog. I have had dogs for a long time now. Back in Brazil, I took care of the family dogs Vicky and Balu. I walked them, fed them, and gave my old little Vicky her medicines. I miss them and love them so much ! Nearly one year ago, we adopted Piko, a rescue dog that came all the way from Lithuania to the Netherlands. Because of him, our routine is already adapted to a dogs needs. We walk Piko three times a day at least, with a fourth time when we work from home. We work from home at least two days a week, usually on Mondays and fridays. Piko also gets special longer walks on the weekends. On the weekends really most of the time we are at home with him. So basically your dog would be joining this routine (unless there is any restriction). We would love to have a playmate for Piko so he can keep socializing after leaving the shelter. We know that a dog is family, so we will take care of your friend as if they are our own ! The daily routine of me and Pablo already includes walking, feeding and playing with our dog Piko. I work two days per week at home, Monday and fridays. We walk Piko in the morning, end of the afternoon and at night; when we can, we also walk him at lunch time. We play with him everyday and he is always making us company while cooking, working, watching TV... a visiting dog would participate of this routine according to his own demands and needs. Since we have already Piko and we are only two, we are able to take only one dog at a time, to make sure that we can dedicate our full attention and care to both. Piko is an adult dog. He likes to play around with other dogs when he feels safe in the environment, but he also enjoys to have some introspective times.

I grew up in Kenya, where my parents’ have always had dogs, and since I was around 10, I’ve taken care of dogs and puppies of different breeds, from Golden Retrievers to Malteses. I have experience with feeding, walking, giving oral medication, grooming, basic training, and raising puppies. I now live in Rotterdam (Delfshaven area) and don’t have any dogs of my own here yet, but I love them, which is one reason I joined this platform! One thing that makes me a bit different from many sitters is that I usually only take care of one pet at a time and don’t have pets of my own. So if your dog is uncomfortable/anxious around other dogs or just prefers having all the attention, that's no problem. Of course, I’m happy to look after social dogs too! I work full-time in climate policy research, but I mainly work from home and only go to the office a maximum of once a week. My schedule is also very flexible, so I can take dogs out throughout the day, usually around four times: morning, lunchtime, late afternoon, and before bed. I live in an apartment but have figured out lots of different green walking routes nearby. I don’t leave dogs home alone. If I ever need to step outside, my partner, who also loves dogs, will be there to take care of them. I know every dog is different and that you’ve probably created a routine that works best for them. I live in a fairly spacious apartment and have a park across the road where I would take the dogs in my care for walks. There are also multiple other green walking routes in my neighbourhood. I‘m very respecful of owners routines for their pet and would follow instructions closely.

Of uw huisdier jong of oud is, of op een andere manier speciale aandacht nodig heeft, dat is geen enkel probleem. Momenteel studeer ik, daarnaast heb ik genoeg tijd om voor uw huisdier te zorgen, en anders springt mijn partner bij als het nodig is. We wandelen meerdere keren per dag met onze hond Frida dus als het te combineren valt is helemaal mooi meegenomen. En om voor katten in hun eigen woonomgeving te verzorgen is altijd mogelijk. We wonen op de eerste etage in een mooie groene buurt, de balkonzijde van de woning is heel rustig en zonnig. We zijn flexibel en kijken naar wat uw huisdier nodig heeft, en wat goed is voor hem/haar.

Vooraf was ze vriendelijk en duidelijk in de communicatie en we konden Lana met een gerust gevoel bij Fernanda achterlaten. Toen we Lana kwamen ophalen was ze helemaal relaxt en had ze graag nog langer willen blijven. Rapport van Rover is ook uitgebreid ingevuld dus dat is ook erg fijn. Mijn eigen dieren zijn erg sociaal naar andere dieren.

Over: Ik ben 18 jaar en heb zelf al 5 jaar een Labrador, Sky. Vanaf dat ze een pup was heb ik haar samen met mijn moeder opgevoed. We zijn met haar naar puppycursus geweest, dus ik heb ook echt geleerd hoe je een hond goed en consequent opvoedt. Sky heeft epilepsie en krijgt daar dagelijks medicatie voor. Daardoor heb ik ervaring met het geven van pilletjes en weet ik hoe belangrijk het is om rustig te blijven en goed op te letten. Gelukkig gaat het heel goed met haar. Wat mij denk ik onderscheidt, is dat ik echt kijk naar wat een hond nodig heeft. De ene hond wil lekker spelen en rennen, de ander heeft meer rust nodig. Ik ben geduldig, zorgzaam en neem de verantwoordelijkheid serieus. Honden voelen voor mij niet als “werk”, maar gewoon als iets wat ik met liefde doe. Ik kan oppassen goed combineren met mijn dagelijkse planning. Omdat ik zelf een hond heb, ben ik gewend aan vaste uitlaattijden, voeren, spelen en aandacht geven. Dat zit al helemaal in mijn routine. Ik werk graag duidelijk en maak goede afspraken met baasjes, zodat iedereen weet waar hij of zij aan toe is. Voor mij staat veiligheid altijd op nummer één. Ik behandel elke hond alsof het mijn eigen hond is. Ik luister goed naar de wensen van het baasje en volg instructies zorgvuldig op, bijvoorbeeld rondom voeding, medicatie of wandelgewoontes. Omdat ik ervaring heb met een hond die iets extra zorg nodig heeft, ben ik alert en oplettend. Ik zorg voor rust, duidelijkheid en een fijne sfeer. Als ik bij het baasje thuis oppas, zorg ik dat de hond zich veilig en vertrouwd voelt in zijn eigen omgeving. En natuurlijk stuur ik met liefde updates of foto’s als dat fijn wordt gevonden.
Over: Hi! I'm Jess and I am a dog mom to 12-year-old Siberian Husky, Luna. She is a sweet, energetic, confident dog who loves all kinds of people and other dogs. She has lived and traveled all over the U.S. (over 20 states!) and now has made her way with us across the ocean to The Netherlands. I work remotely and part-time and have plenty of flexibility to accommodate your pet’s unique routine and needs during the week or on the weekend. <~~>~~<~~>~~<~~>~~<~~> Pet and Pet Sitter Safety: I have stayed with dogs who have easy access to a fenced outdoor space and with those who do not, so I am comfortable with ensuring leashes and/or gates are always secure. I’ve also stayed with dogs who are crated and am comfortable with crate commands. For their safety, I highly recommend crating puppies under 2 years old and any dog with a pattern of chewing or swallowing household items (remotes, pillows, etc.) when you are not home. Crate-trained pets will be crated per the owner’s instructions. Having an 11-year-old husky means I have had my fair share of experience with unexpected veterinary visits and emergencies. I am comfortable communicating symptoms to veterinary professionals with thorough details as needed. I have years of experience monitoring pets’ symptoms when they are sick, providing at home first aid, and acting quickly when additional care is needed. Veterinary Care & Emergency Transport Policy: While veterinary care and especially emergency veterinary care is a rare circumstance of a booking, pets can be unpredictable. When a medical facility advises veterinary care based on a description of symptoms over the phone, pet sitter will advise seeking veterinary care. If pet owner objects to seeking veterinary care when medically necessary, pet owner will be responsible for either taking over care of their pet themselves or securing a different caregiver expeditiously. To ensure the pet sitter is adequately compensated in extenuating circumstances, please be advised that for any unexpected or emergency travel or transport, pet sitter will provide receipts and apply a charge for reimbursement of costs incurred to your booking. An additional charge will also be applied to the cost of your booking at an hourly rate starting at the time of departure to the vet and ending at the time of either arrival to your home or, if your pet is required to stay at the vet, departure from the vet + time it takes to travel to the pet sitter’s home from the vet. This will include any additional trips back and forth to and from the vet to visit or pick up your pet based on the roundtrip to the vet from pet sitter’s or your home. Hourly rates are as follows: 8am-5pm: €10/hr 5pm-10pm: €12/hr 10pm-8am: €16/hr Holidays & Weekends: €18/hr *veterinary emergency room visit wait times can exceed 8 hours on weekends and holidays Cleaning & Vehicle Damage Policy: If pet sitter is required to clean up bodily fluids due to illness (vomit, urine, blood, diarrhea, etc) in order to maintain a safe environment in your home, their own home, or their personal vehicle, a one-time fee of €40 will be applied to your booking. The pet sitter will also require reimbursement by the pet owner for any cleaning supplies that are not readily available in the pet owner’s home. Injury To Pet Sitter Policy: If, under any circumstance, the pet sitter is injured by a pet, the pet sitter will require reimbursement for related medical expenses by the pet owner.

I grew up in Kenya, where my parents’ have always had dogs, and since I was around 10, I’ve taken care of dogs and puppies of different breeds, from Golden Retrievers to Malteses. I have experience with feeding, walking, giving oral medication, grooming, basic training, and raising puppies. I now live in Rotterdam (Delfshaven area) and don’t have any dogs of my own here yet, but I love them, which is one reason I joined this platform! One thing that makes me a bit different from many sitters is that I usually only take care of one pet at a time and don’t have pets of my own. So if your dog is uncomfortable/anxious around other dogs or just prefers having all the attention, that's no problem. Of course, I’m happy to look after social dogs too! I work full-time in climate policy research, but I mainly work from home and only go to the office a maximum of once a week. My schedule is also very flexible, so I can take dogs out throughout the day, usually around four times: morning, lunchtime, late afternoon, and before bed. I live in an apartment but have figured out lots of different green walking routes nearby. I don’t leave dogs home alone. If I ever need to step outside, my partner, who also loves dogs, will be there to take care of them. I know every dog is different and that you’ve probably created a routine that works best for them. My partner goes to work most days but has an irregular schedule so if I need to step out e.g., to do groceries, he would be home to take over the pet care for that time. I live in a fairly spacious apartment and have a park across the road where I would take the dogs in my care for walks. There are also multiple other green walking routes in my neighbourhood. I‘m very respecful of owners routines for their pet and would follow instructions closely.
