Over: Ik heb het geluk gehad om vaak op te mogen passen op de leukste hondjes van vrienden. Dit is iets wat ik vaker wil doen! Ik werk als zzp'er vanuit huis dus ik ben heel flexibel en met genoeg tijd om voldoende aandacht te kunnen geven aan de hondjes. Ik woon in een vrijstaand huis met een grote omheinde tuin. Dus er kan vaak genoeg een frisse neus gehaald worden! Ook zijn mijn ouders vaak thuis om op te passen, mocht ik weg moeten. Er is daarom altijd wel iemand thuis.

Over: Hoi! Wij zijn Jonna (25) en Ana (24) en samen wonen we in Utrecht. We zijn allebei enorme hondenliefhebbers en hebben allebei van jongs af aan veel ervaring met honden. Jonna is opgegroeid met honden en heeft sinds haar achtste altijd een hond in huis gehad. Bij haar vader woonde tot een paar jaar geleden een lieve Toller, maar nu een energieke pup mix Toller/Australian Shepard. Daarnaast heeft zij ervaring met het helpen in dierenopvangcentra, waar onder andere honden uitlaten en dagelijkse verzorging bij hoorden. Ana heeft zes jaar lang een hond gehad bij haar ouders en heeft daar veel verantwoordelijkheid in gedragen. Samen vinden we het heerlijk om met honden bezig te zijn: wandelen, trainen, spelen en natuurlijk knuffelen horen daar allemaal bij. We letten goed op het karakter en de behoeften van elke hond en passen onze aanpak daarop aan, of het nu gaat om een actieve pup of een wat rustigere, oudere hond. We wonen in een appartement met balkon (geen tuin), maar maken dagelijks meerdere wandelingen en nemen daar uitgebreid de tijd voor. Bij ons krijgen honden veel aandacht, structuur en een veilige, huiselijke plek. We kijken ernaar uit om jouw hond bij ons te mogen ontvangen! Wij werken beiden full-time, maar Ana werkt onregelmatige uren in de zorg waardoor er vaak of bijna altijd iemand thuis is. Jonna werkt 2-3 dagen per week thuis. Een lekkere ochtend wandeling, middag (mits iemand thuis is) en er lange middag I will respect any of the terms we will set together. As long as those terms are discussed, I think we should be fine! Over: Wij zijn Wesley en Kim. Grote dierenvrienden. Wij hebben zelf jaren lang een hondje mogen hebben, maar helaas is onze lieverd in 2022 overleden. Daarna verwelkomde wij ons zoontje Kai. Met een Baby en nog een lieve kat in huis hadden we besloten geen nieuwe viervoeter erbij te nemen. Inmiddels is ons zoontje 3 jaar en net zo’n dierenvriend als zijn ouders. Omdat het nu nog niet helemaal past in ons gezin lijkt het ons super leuk, om af en toe te kunnen genieten van een hondje bij ons thuis! We wonen vlakbij het haarlemmermeersebos in Hoofddorp waar we graag komen voor een wandeling. Ook is er, achter onze woning, een honden uitlaat gebied. Kim werkt drie dagen en in die dagen zal Wesley de zorg op zich nemen, hij werkt vanuit huis. Willen jullie lekker een weekendje weg? Breng jullie viervoeter gerust bij ons! Tijdens de drie werkdagen van Kim, werkt Wesley vanuit huis. Zo zorgen wij ervoor dat er altijd iemand bij jullie hondje aanwezig is. Wij kunnen, naast een keer een boodschap te doen, alle tijd steken in jouw hondje. Wij hebben een omheinde tuin die grenst aan een (los)loopgebied voor honden. Zelf hebben wij een kat die honden altijd goed accepteert (wij nemen alleen honden aan die katten gewend zijn) en een zoontje van drie jaar oud. Honden mogen bij ons lekker relaxen op de bank of op bed! Wij zijn heel graag buiten te vinden dus aan wandelingetjes zal het niet tekort komen.

Living with them was one of the happiest periods of my life. I miss them dearly and would love the opportunity to spend time with and care for pets here in Amsterdam as well. Over: I grew up with pets (dogs and rodents) and have taken care of pets practically my whole life. 5 years ago, I took a wonderful boy called Charlie home from the shelter (you can see him in all of my pictures). He was already a bit older, and I was lucky to have him by my side for 4.5 years until he sadly passed away last October. I have a big heart for animals, and therefore miss taking care of a hairy friend! I have experience with taking care of both small and larger dogs, as well as senior dogs and dogs with medical needs. I recently started a PhD and am therefore not home during work days (mo-fr). This is why I currently am not in the position of adopting a dog myself, but would love to take care of dogs on the weekends when I am home. When taking care of a dog I adjust my routine to meet the needs of the dog. I try to suit the needs of the animal and respect their boundaries. Over: Since I was little I've cared for dogs, both big and small, and their puppy litters and I've also fostered stray puppies we've found and given them a safe home. Currently I have 2 lovely dogs (one Rhodesian ridgeback and 1 local breed) and 3 cats at home back in Tanzania with my parents. I have two cats back in my hometown, but in my current place of residence (where your cats will be hosted if you request boarding), there are no pets. Over: I began working with animals in 2016 through Paws and Claws, an independent daycare and dog walking service in the UK. My responsibilities included walking, feeding, and caring for dogs throughout the morning and afternoon. I was also responsible for pick-up and drop-off, which involved being trusted with access to clients’ homes. Alongside this, I carried out house calls to help socialise dogs or check in on those who didn’t require a full day of on-site daycare. She has lived and traveled all over the U.S. (over 20 states!) and now has made her way with us across the ocean to The Netherlands. I’ve also stayed with dogs who are crated and am comfortable with crate commands. For their safety, I highly recommend crating puppies under 2 years old and any dog with a pattern of chewing or swallowing household items (remotes, pillows, etc.) when you are not home. Crate-trained pets will be crated per the owner’s instructions. Having an 11-year-old husky means I have had my fair share of experience with unexpected veterinary visits and emergencies. I am comfortable communicating symptoms to veterinary professionals with thorough details as needed. I have years of experience monitoring pets’ symptoms when they are sick, providing at home first aid, and acting quickly when additional care is needed. Veterinary Care & Emergency Transport Policy: While veterinary care and especially emergency veterinary care is a rare circumstance of a booking, pets can be unpredictable. When a medical facility advises veterinary care based on a description of symptoms over the phone, pet sitter will advise seeking veterinary care. If pet owner objects to seeking veterinary care when medically necessary, pet owner will be responsible for either taking over care of their pet themselves or securing a different caregiver expeditiously. To ensure the pet sitter is adequately compensated in extenuating circumstances, please be advised that for any unexpected or emergency travel or transport, pet sitter will provide receipts and apply a charge for reimbursement of costs incurred to your booking. An additional charge will also be applied to the cost of your booking at an hourly rate starting at the time of departure to the vet and ending at the time of either arrival to your home or, if your pet is required to stay at the vet, departure from the vet + time it takes to travel to the pet sitter’s home from the vet. This will include any additional trips back and forth to and from the vet to visit or pick up your pet based on the roundtrip to the vet from pet sitter’s or your home. Hourly rates are as follows: 8am-5pm: €10/hr 5pm-10pm: €12/hr 10pm-8am: €16/hr Holidays & Weekends: €18/hr *veterinary emergency room visit wait times can exceed 8 hours on weekends and holidays Cleaning & Vehicle Damage Policy: If pet sitter is required to clean up bodily fluids due to illness (vomit, urine, blood, diarrhea, etc) in order to maintain a safe environment in your home, their own home, or their personal vehicle, a one-time fee of €40 will be applied to your booking. The pet sitter will also require reimbursement by the pet owner for any cleaning supplies that are not readily available in the pet owner’s home. Injury To Pet Sitter Policy: If, under any circumstance, the pet sitter is injured by a pet, the pet sitter will require reimbursement for related medical expenses by the pet owner.

Over: Hoi! Wij zijn Jonna (25) en Ana (24) en samen wonen we in Utrecht. We zijn allebei enorme hondenliefhebbers en hebben allebei van jongs af aan veel ervaring met honden. Jonna is opgegroeid met honden en heeft sinds haar achtste altijd een hond in huis gehad. Bij haar vader woonde tot een paar jaar geleden een lieve Toller, maar nu een energieke pup mix Toller/Australian Shepard. Daarnaast heeft zij ervaring met het helpen in dierenopvangcentra, waar onder andere honden uitlaten en dagelijkse verzorging bij hoorden. Ana heeft zes jaar lang een hond gehad bij haar ouders en heeft daar veel verantwoordelijkheid in gedragen. Samen vinden we het heerlijk om met honden bezig te zijn: wandelen, trainen, spelen en natuurlijk knuffelen horen daar allemaal bij. We letten goed op het karakter en de behoeften van elke hond en passen onze aanpak daarop aan, of het nu gaat om een actieve pup of een wat rustigere, oudere hond. We wonen in een appartement met balkon (geen tuin), maar maken dagelijks meerdere wandelingen en nemen daar uitgebreid de tijd voor. Bij ons krijgen honden veel aandacht, structuur en een veilige, huiselijke plek. We kijken ernaar uit om jouw hond bij ons te mogen ontvangen! Wij werken beiden full-time, maar Ana werkt onregelmatige uren in de zorg waardoor er vaak of bijna altijd iemand thuis is. Jonna werkt 2-3 dagen per week thuis. Een lekkere ochtend wandeling, middag (mits iemand thuis is) en er lange middag I will respect any of the terms we will set together. As long as those terms are discussed, I think we should be fine! Over: I've been caring for cats and dogs for as long as I can remember. Growing up, we had three family dogs and a cat, and by the time I was 21, my family had taken in seven stray dogs. Living with them was one of the happiest periods of my life. I miss them dearly and would love the opportunity to spend time with and care for pets here in Amsterdam as well. I really love being around animals and making sure they feel safe, cosy, and cared for 💛 I’m available for boarding on Fridays and weekends, and they’re also welcome to stay with me during the week. I ask for: honest answers on the intake form and a quick meet-and-greet before boarding or sitting bookings. Pet care isn't something I fit around a busy schedule, it is the priority when I have a booking. I work from home, which means dogs in my care aren't left alone for long stretches during the day. Walks, feeding, rest, and outdoor time follow your dog's natural routine as closely as possible, not mine. I keep bookings small so I'm never stretched across too many dogs at once. My home is calm, dog-proofed, and already shared with 2 dogs of my own, so incoming dogs arrive into a settled environment. Before any boarding or sitting booking I use a detailed intake form covering health, behavior, feeding, and emergency contacts, plus a meet-and-greet to make sure it's a good fit. I use a signed agreement with every client. If something feels off with a dog during a stay such as appetite, energy, behavior, I notice and I communicate that. Mijn vaste oppas hond (was 15) en vaste oppas poes (was 17) zijn inmiddels overleden. Via een grote Britse website pas ik op momenteel op honden en katten in het buitenland in ruil voor een verblijf zodat ik kan reizen. Via Rover.com zoek ik honden waarop ik kan passen als ik thuis ben. Ik maak nog wel steeds graag een uitzondering voor oppassen in bepaalde gebieden in Londen, in het bijzonder rondom Hyde Park, maar ook veel andere parken daar zijn geweldig voor honden: St James's Park, Regent's Park, Battersea Park, Holland Park, Primrose Hill, en Hampstead Heath. Mijn ervaringen hebben me flexibel, vindingrijk en bekwaam gemaakt om met uitdagingen om te gaan die zich tijdens de afwezigheid van de eigenaar kunnen voordoen.
