“Via het internet heb ik de organisatie Rover gevonden. Wij zijn op vakantie in Callantsoog en kregen het bericht dat er een goede vriend was overleden. Wij wilden naar de crematie maar konden onze hond Dex niet in de Caravan achterlaten vanwege de hoge temperaturen. Via Rover zijn wij met Maria in contact gekomen en haar uitgekozen om een dag en nacht op Dex te passen. Maria is een superlieve vrouw en dierenvriend, het klikte tussen ons en Dex en wij konden hem met een zeer rustig gevoel bij haar achterlaten. Wij werden zeer goed geïnformeerd met korte filmpjes over het wel en wee van Dex en Maria. Maria hartelijk bedankt en wij wensen jou alle goeds, jij bent een echte Dierenvriendin‼️”

Over: Al vanaf jongs af aan ben ik gek op honden. Helaas hebben wij thuis nooit een hond gehad, maar voor vrienden paste wij vaak op wanneer zij op vakantie gingen. Hierdoor heb ik ruime ervaring met het verzorgen van een hond. Dit neem ik nu zelf ook over. Al 2 jaar heb ik een vaste oppas hond (Nena) die 1 x per maand over de vloer komt. Graag help ik naast het baasje van Nena ook andere baasjes en vind ik het altijd heel gezellig als er een viervoeter over de vloer komt Momenteel werk ik full time. Binnen mijn werk heb ik de vrijheid om thuis te werken. Gedurende de dag heb ik de ruimte om mijn eigen dag in te delen. Hierdoor heb ik voldoende mogelijkheid om vaak genoeg tussendoor een wandeling te maken of even te spelen met een hond Ik woon samen met mijn vriend in een appartement in Amsterdam van 58 vierkante meter. Het is niet het grootste appartement, maar er is ruimte om lekker te lopen. Net zoals ik is hij gek op honden.
Over: Ik heb zelf een hondje gehad toen ik nog bij mijn ouders woonde en ben nu vooral heel erg fan van het verzorgen van andermans hondjes! :) Katten zijn natuurlijk ook altijd welkom. Ik ben recent afgestudeerd en nu op zoek naar een fulltime baan als advocaat. Momenteel ben ik dus aan het solliciteren en de voorbereiding doe ik vanuit huis. Ik ben dus bijna altijd thuis en beschikbaar om voor jouw huisdier te zorgen! Ik woon in m’n eentje en ben erg schoon en opgeruimd. Mocht het nodig zijn, is er natuurlijk ruimte voor een bench of andere accessoires.

Now that I live in Amsterdam and I miss my puppy I wish I could give my love to other puppies! I am loving and attentive to the needs of a dog, I love taking long walks. Over: I grew up around dogs my whole life, so I’m very experienced taking care of them. Since moving to Amsterdam, I’ve regularly pet sat for friends here, everything from quick drop-in visits to longer stays of up to 15 days. I live in a big apartment with my partner, who also loves pets, so we’d be two people looking after yours and it would rarely be alone. We’re close to Erasmuspark, great for walks and playtime, and our place has a big balcony too. I work from home most of the time and only go to the office once a week, so I’m around most days. Happy to take dogs on long walks, or just spend lots of time at home if it’s a cat! Sleeping in the bedroom with me is totally fine, or the living room if your pet prefers sleeping on its own. We currently don’t have any pets of our own. I can do both during the week and weekends. Right now I work from home 4 days a week and I go to the office once a week. This is flexible though, so I can also stay home full-time if needed. I love giving lots of affection and spending quality time with the pets in my care. I do have an active social life, but when I have an animal with me, I try to stay home as much as possible so they feel accompanied and don’t feel alone. If it’s a dog, I really enjoy long walks, so I’d take them along with me. I prefer looking after pets at my own place, but in some cases I’m also open to pet sitting at the owner’s home. As for sleeping, I’m flexible, they can sleep in the bedroom with me or in the living room, whatever they’re more used to. As for pets, I don’t own any currently.

I have a bakfiets, so if it’s ok with you, we can get around town with the wind in our fur! I have a clean and welcoming environment in my home, with room for playing and napping. I live on the third floor, and there are stairs inside my apartment too. I’m happy to carry smaller dogs up and down, but this might be something to consider. In general, when I am caring for a dog, it’s much like having a child to take care of. I do have an 8 year old (who is very sweet and gentle with dogs), so your dog has to be friendly and comfortable with children. I also need to know how your dog is with other dogs and people, so I can act accordingly. I never let dogs off leash before i know them very well, because I take my responsibility very seriously. And always pick up poop!
Over: Sinds mijn geboorte ben ik al omringd door huisdieren, poezen, honden, konijnen, vogels, zelf paarden. Ik zou mij geen leven zonder huisdieren kunnen voorstellen. Ik laat graag de hond uit en knuffel met de poezen. Momenteel zit ik in de ziektewet en ben ik elke dag thuis met de poezen en mijn dochter (4 april 2025). Over: I have had a dog since I was 10 and have had experience training it. I look after dogs quite often here in Amsterdam, and can provide recommendations from people I have dog sit for. I work part time and am a student so have plenty of spare time to take care of the dog and am flexible to the dogs needs. I have had a lot of experience of understanding what dogs need for me and when they need more and less attention. My home is dog friendly with no things lying around for them to accidentally swallow. I live next to a few parks and would be able to take them there.

“Via het internet heb ik de organisatie Rover gevonden. Wij zijn op vakantie in Callantsoog en kregen het bericht dat er een goede vriend was overleden. Wij wilden naar de crematie maar konden onze hond Dex niet in de Caravan achterlaten vanwege de hoge temperaturen. Via Rover zijn wij met Maria in contact gekomen en haar uitgekozen om een dag en nacht op Dex te passen. Maria is een superlieve vrouw en dierenvriend, het klikte tussen ons en Dex en wij konden hem met een zeer rustig gevoel bij haar achterlaten. Wij werden zeer goed geïnformeerd met korte filmpjes over het wel en wee van Dex en Maria. Maria hartelijk bedankt en wij wensen jou alle goeds, jij bent een echte Dierenvriendin‼️”

Over: Many of my friends and neighbours come to me for pet sitting - dogs and cats. I send them pictures every day, and the owners often say that their pets look so happy with me!! I'm gentle while firm, and will help your little animal stick to the rules and training, while giving them so much love that they deserve. I also have experience taking care of rabbits, guinea pigs, and parakeets. I work from home fully, so very flexible with my schedule and open to adapting to the needs of your little one. A typical schedule - 08:00 - a morning leg stretch; 12:00 - a bit of running in the neighbourhood park; 18:00 - a digestive walk to the lush dog park; 22:00 - a chill evening stroll. I have a big enough apartment for 3~5 animals, and they'll have plenty of space to run around! Your little animal will be allowed on furniture and the whole apartment, but not on the bed
Over: Honden zijn altijd een groot onderdeel van mijn leven geweest. Ik ben opgegroeid met honden en heb al sinds mijn tweede levensjaar altijd één of meerdere honden thuis gehad. Daardoor ben ik gewend aan verschillende rassen, karakters en leeftijden en weet ik hoe belangrijk rust, structuur en aandacht zijn. Door mijn drukke werk en mijn regelmatige reizen vind ik het op dit moment niet eerlijk om zelf fulltime een hond te hebben. Toch mis ik de gezelligheid en liefde die een hond met zich meebrengt. Daarom is Rover voor mij de perfecte oplossing: ik kan honden een fijne, veilige en liefdevolle plek bieden, terwijl baasjes met een gerust hart weg kunnen. Ik behandel elke hond alsof het mijn eigen hond is. Betrouwbaarheid, goede communicatie en het welzijn van de hond staan voor mij altijd op de eerste plaats. Ik werk flexibel waardoor ik mijn planning goed kan afstemmen. Ik ben beschikbaar op zowel doordeweekse dagen als in het weekend en denk graag mee als er last-minute opvang nodig is. ik ben opgegroeid met honden, waardoor de verzorging voor mij heel natuurlijk voelt. Jouw hond verblijft in een ruim appartement van ongeveer 120 m² met voldoende ruimte om te ontspannen. Ik woon op loopafstand van zowel het Erasmuspark als het Rembrandtpark, waardoor we meerdere keren per dag fijne wandelingen kunnen maken in een groene omgeving. Of je hond nu graag actief is of juist behoefte heeft aan rust, ik zorg ervoor dat hij of zij zich veilig, ontspannen en thuis voelt.
