I have 27+ years experience as a veterinary technician. I worked as the head of the surgery department at a 24-hour emergency and specialty veterinary hospital for 8 years (as anesthetist, ER nurse, ICU nurse, oncology, internal medicine, cardiology) and have been working in human medicine for the past 4 years but still do volunteer and per diem work as a veterinary technician at various hospitals and non-profits. I have experience with all ages, medical conditions, and sizes of dogs, cats, and birds. I am experienced and capable of medicating and caring for pets with health conditions and special needs - from birth to end of life, I have been with them every step of the way. At one of my previous veterinary hospitals, I was given special permission by owners to take their dogs who were boarding for extended periods to the nearby dog park. I enjoy documenting every pet's fun via video and pictures and sending them to their families. I have personally called fish, hamsters, rabbits, dogs, cats, and birds as my family! Pets aren't just animals, they are family and I will treat them as my own.
