Hi! I'm Steve, a Hoboken resident for fifteen years. While I'm new to Rover, I bring many years of experience caring for my own pets and those of friends, family and neighbors. I understand that entrusting your dog or cat to someone is a big decision, and I take that responsibility seriously. I enjoy getting to know each pet's unique personality and needs so they feel safe, comfortable and happy in my care. My love of animals started early. Growing up, my family had dogs, cats, guinea pigs, fish, chameleons, iguanas, and more. As a teenager, I worked at the Delmar Animal Hospital near Albany, NY, assisting veterinarians and helping care for boarded and recovering animals. Over the years, I've also rescued five cats and cared for pets of all ages, including administering certain medications when needed. These experiences taught me patience, compassion and respect for every animal. Professionally, I'm a photographer and filmmaker. The qualities that have helped me succeed in that field - reliability, empathy, attention to detail, and clear communication - are the same ones I bring to pet care. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and will care for your pet as if they were my own.
