Hi! I'm Sarah. I grew up with cats and have over 20 years of experience caring for them. A little later on, two adorable golden retrievers joined my family, giving me over 10 years of experience caring for dogs as well. I have experience caring for pets of all ages, including puppies, kittens, seniors, and pets who need medication. I've always loved animals, and pet sitting has become one of my favorite ways to spend my time. I enjoy getting to know each pet's personality, building trust with them, and making sure they have plenty of attention, enrichment, and care while their people are away. Whether your pet is outgoing and social or prefers their space, I'm happy to follow their lead and adapt to what makes them most comfortable. I believe trust is earned, not assumed, so I always let animals set the pace and do my best to meet them where they're at. You'll receive plenty of photos and updates throughout your booking, and I'll care for your pets the same way I care for my own: with patience, respect, and lots of attention to their individual needs. Safety, trust & environment
For me, the fundamentals of a drop-in are relationship building, care tasks, and enrichment. When I arrive, my first priority is making your pet feel safe and comfortable with my presence in their home, and that usually starts with a hello. Sometimes that means a full cuddle session; sometimes it's just a quick sniff before they go back to doing their own thing. Sometimes I won't see them at all for the first few visits, and that's okay too. Whatever your pet's personality, I'll always let them come to me first. Building trust takes patience, respect, and consistency, and I'm there to meet them where they're at. Once we've said hello, I'll take care of the basics: food, water, medication, litter box, potty break, walk, and any other care tasks we discuss at the meet & greet. I'll always prioritize your pet's immediate needs, whether that's attention, playtime, or simply giving them space if they're feeling unsure. My goal is to make sure everything gets done while keeping them comfortable and stress-free. After that comes enrichment—the fun part! Depending on your pet, that might mean playtime, cuddles, brushing, training reinforcement, or simply keeping them company. I'll also take plenty of photos throughout the visit so you can see how they're doing while you're away. The time you've booked (30 minutes, 60 minutes, etc.) is dedicated entirely to your pet's care and enrichment. Afterward, I'll spend a few extra minutes completing a detailed Rover card with photos and notes about our visit. If my schedule allows, I often stay a little longer, though I can't always guarantee it. This is the general framework I follow, but every visit is tailored to your pet's individual needs and personality. My goal is always the same: to make sure they feel safe, cared for, and connected while you're away.

Sarah, just like last time, did a FANTASTIC job with our boys. She left hilarious notes and my husband and I are always so amused by how spot-on our cats' behavioral notes are with how we know them! The first day of check ins this go around, our eldest cat Pip had a flare up of a chronic condition (cystitis). Sarah noticed RIGHT AWAY and let us know. She had to leave for another sitting job after I gave her some instructions on how to make him comfortable, but came back later in the day to take him to a vet appointment to make sure he did not have a urinary blockage and to get pain management to help him through the flare up. She also made sure there was space on her schedule to come back 2x a day for the rest of our trip to make sure Pip got his pain meds until we got home to take care of him. I hope she never quits because idk who else I'm going to be able to trust ATP to give our boys top notch care while we're out of town!
Sarah was amazing! She took her time and wrote hilarious journal entries! You can tell she has a real love for animals. I appreciate all the photos she took, we could tell the cats loved being with her too.
Sarah is fantastic with both kitties! She gives amazing updates with so much color commentary that I can absolutely picture what has been going on. Both kitties love all their playtime and cuddles they get from her too. I do not worry at all when I need to travel due to her superb care.
Once again, we just love having Sarah! She is so detailed and responsive and the peace of mind she brings is priceless.

Schedule
I’m self-employed, which gives me a flexible schedule to work around your pet’s needs. I’m available for morning, afternoon, and evening visits, and I can often accommodate extra visits on short notice.
