Hello! My name is Sarah and I relocated to SC from CT in the summer of 2024. I've been surrounded by dogs since birth, primarily larger breeds. My mother also rescues and helps rehabilitate small wild animals which is where my passion stems from. I've owned 3 dogs myself; two of which I trained as certified pet therapy animals that visited nursing homes and were integrated within my high school in a pet therapy program I created. In CT, I volunteered with Dog Star Rescue as a Kennel Team Coordinator and kennel volunteer. My responsibilities as coordinator included training new volunteers, tracking and coordinating dogs coming and going from transport, adoption, or foster care, and helping to organize events and kennel procedures. As a member of the kennel team, I received training on dog handling skills and behavioral techniques applied when handling and walking dogs that reside at our headquarters site. My kennel duties included feeding, exercising, and training the dogs, attending to their specific needs to prepare them for adoption. I am certified in Pet CPR and First Aid and am bonded and insured. I'm very reliable and committed to my jobs and responsibilities. I know how difficult it can be to find a trustworthy individual who can comfortably care for your pets in your absence. I will treat your animals as if they were my own family members!
