Pet care experience
Dogs have been a part of my family for my entire life. I personally know that they aren't just pets, but loved ones. I have my own pup named Holly, a four-year-old red heeler with the goofiest grin. Besides Holly, I have great experience with dogs of all ages, as well as a love for them! I am also comfortable sitting for cats and have on many occasions for neighbors and friends. I used to work at Austin Pets Alive!, and have a deep empathy for dogs who have quirky behaviors. I am comfortable giving pets medication and taking them on long walks—even if they don't have the best leash manners!
Reviews
Sara was absolutely wonderful with our fur babies! She sent us updates and photos each day were gone and left us a note about how they did while she was there. We definitely recommend Sara to anyone in need of a sitter and will absolutely be reaching out to her again the next time we leave town.
Sara is a wonderful dog lover. She dotes on her family dog every opportunity she gets and is a very responsible pet owner, always making sure the dog’s needs are met. She is very patient and willing to work with dogs who might not listen the first time around with compassion, but also a firm hand. I absolutely trust Sara to care for my pooch.

I have training under my belt from working with dogs with difficult behaviors during my time at Austin Pets Alive! — though these abilities are limited to dogs who pull and jump while on, or off, leash. I am able to control dogs who may have aggressive tendencies toward other dogs, but not people, nor am I equipped to take care of dogs who are fully dog-reactive. Otherwise, I am perfectly comfortable walking your pups, hanging out with them at home, giving them medication, feeding them, and playing with them!
Information Sara D. would like to know about your pet
- Physical and mental activity preferences - Medications - Allergies - Reactivity - Leash manners (or lack of, we don't judge!) - Comfortability with other people
A typical day
Love walks in nearby parks/your neighborhood. I am able to provide light, basic training, and leash commands. If there is a game your pup likes to stay mentally active, I am happy to provide that outlet for them as well! I own quite a few dog puzzles that I am happy to bring with me.
