Hello, I’m Mika! I’m a life long animal lover with over 20 years of experience caring for cats of all ages, personalities, and needs. I grew up with two beloved family cats who were my responsibility from their kitten days into old age. I also spent a year working at a cat rescue, where I handled everything from feeding and litter cleaning to grooming, socializing shy cats, creating adoption videos, and giving oral medications. I have fostered three cats, and cat-sat for friends and neighbors on many occasions. I’m comfortable giving oral medications (pills and liquid), following special diets, and caring for senior and special needs cats. My goal is to make your cat feel safe and comfortable while you are away, whether that means playtime and cuddles or respecting space. I understand feline behavior deeply and know how to earn the trust of even the most reserved cats.

Safety, trust & environment
Safety is my #1 priority. I always closely follow instructions for feeding, exercise, and routines. I treat your home with the same respect I would my own - keeping things tidy, locking up when I leave, and only accessing areas necessary for pet care. I am extra attentive to changes in behavior and will regularly text updates and photos as desired.
Ratings and reviews
Mika did a great job for a last minute trip I had. My two cats need medication and she was able to administer it with no issue. I will book Mika in the future as well.

I was in a pinch for a cat sitter before a last minute trip and stumbled upon Mika’s profile the day before I left. She accepted my request and made the time to meet my cat with her busy schedule. She is gentle, kind, and made my somewhat skittish cat feel comfortable. She sent photos every day and gave updates on her behavior/anything that seemed off. I am definitely going to continue requesting Mika on the future!

Schedule
I’m located in East Harlem, and I typically only accept drop-in requests within 1-2 miles. I am willing to travel within Manhattan and to other boroughs for housesitting requests. I’m happy to do free meet and greets beforehand. Please feel free to reach out with any questions! *Rates are locked after your first booking! If I increase my rates, you will only pay as much as you did before* *If you have cameras, please let me know. I don’t mind, but I like to know if I’m being recorded 🙂* I’m a full time MSW graduate student. I have a lot of availability between May 20 and September 1 as I will be on summer break. The further in advance you book, the better I can plan and adapt my schedule for you! Don’t hesitate to ask about specific dates, as I may have different availability than my typical schedule.
