My wife and I both work 35 hours a week on opposite schedules so one of us is always available! We have separate days off so 5 days a week, one of us has the day off.

Outside: We have a large fenced in back yard with only one exterior entry point which is double gated. The double gated side yard is where we usually meet the owners when they come for pick up. The double gated entry way provides protection from escape artists🤣 We have a large metal container that we use as a water trough that we fill with ice water 3 times a day to keep all dogs well hydrated! We have lots of dog toys for the back yard as well. Inside: Dogs sleep upstairs on the main floor, but during the day, they have full access to the house and back yard. We do not provide kennels but will use one if the owner brings one. Dogs eat at the same time we eat. We send LOTS of pictures and updates throughout the day!

A typical day
Your dogs will stay very busy with my kids around! We have a huge fenced back yard for dogs to run free and explore. We have sprinklers and a kid swimming pool that dogs love to play in! We also love to take a trip over to Freeman Lake for some time at the dog park and some walks along the water. On weekends, we go to Bernheim Forest. When things start to quiet down, we have a movie room in the basement with a large sectional couch for dogs to plop down and snuggle. On some weekends, we even set up beds down there and we all crash in a big cuddle puddle.

Pet care experience
My Grandmother was a Colorado State award-winning dog trainer and I grew up helping her care for her three Belgian Tervurans. I've owned several dogs throughout my life as well. I have a history of volunteer work at shelters and have cared for a wide range of dogs! I have three kids aged 3, 4, and 7 who have grown up around all types of animals, including dogs of all sizes. Currently, we have one ferret, one cat, and we just rescued a puppy! We are extremely active with our animals and play with them throughout the day!

I’m so glad that I got to experience my first time on Rover with Michael and Liz. Michael invited Tiggy and me to come over beforehand to check out their place and the other dogs to make sure they got along. They were super flexible when I requested to modify the booking and responsive throughout the whole process. Tiggy had a great time with Michael and Liz’s children and the other dogs, and whined a bit in the car when he had leave. (He’s currently taking a nap as I write this review.) I had complete peace of mind knowing Tiggy was in good hands, and will definitely book with Michael and Liz again.
Michael and Elizabeth were great! They were so amazing and accommadating when my original plans changed and got moved forward. They sent me pictures of my furbaby and I know she had a great time! We will definitely be using them again in the future ❤️
Amazing care for our four legged fur baby Pepper! Great with daily updates and photos as well as gave her plenty love, care and attention. We will book with them anytime we need someone to watch her! Highly recommend them! She had a blast with their kids, them and the other dogs there, how do I know, because she is passed out on our sofa 30 minutes after we got home and somewhat settled back in.
Michael and Elizabeth have been fantastic with my cat, they’re incredibly communicative and I always come home to a happy and well looked after kitty. For a particular trip they were so flexible as I sorted out a key mixup and were incredibly patient — they’re the reason I can stay stress free on vacation. They’re my go-to for watching my pet when I’m out of town.
