Pet care experience
"Wag More, Bark Less"
Hello! My name is Margit, rhymes with target. Truthfully, I am lousy at "about me" sections. So, here goes! - I have had at least one dog since I was 5 years old. - When I was younger, family members would buy books about dog breeds, dog encyclopedias, and all the dog Beanie Babies. There is even an old CBS interview clip of me saying how much I loved the dog parade and dog area at Irish Fest. That is still my favorite spot during the festival! - I do not have any breed restrictions and believe that breed discrimination is ridiculous. - Over the years, I have become the "dog auntie" of my friend group. I am the first person they call to come over and dog-sit. - I am a strong supporter of rescuing animals. All of my dogs have been adopted from shelters or rescue groups. I have fostered three dogs (so far) through Mit Liebe German Shepherd Rescue. I also help with other aspects of the rescue group. It has been a great experience so far and I really enjoy my time with them. - I am a fur mama to a Husky mix named Honey. She has definitely changed my life. -LGBTQ+ friendly - I am quite flexible and will do my very best to accommodate you and your pet(s). - I do not provide raking or snow removal services while in-home pet sitting. I don’t even rake or shovel at my own house. Please make arrangements for these services. ** I require at least one digital meet-and-greet ahead of caring for your pet(s). I prefer to have a digital meet-and-greet and then an in-person, but realize schedules and time constraints are a thing. I find that the meet-and-greets help all parties get a feel for each other and helps everyone feel more comfortable. Let’s chat soon! **

This all depends on the pet(s) and weather. I adjust and adapt to the pet’s energy level, ability, personality, usual routine, and instructions shared by the owner(s).
Ratings and reviews
Hands down best dog sitter and will use her services again. Very friendly, loves dogs, good communicator, detail oriented. I get very anxious leaving my anxious dog who can be quite a bit to handle with all his quirks, but was not worried leaving him with Margit. She is laid back and easy to work with yet professional and clearly has experience with dogs. Really appreciate her and how well she cared for our dog with separation anxiety.

Margit is an exceptional pet sitter! I’m generally a little bit skeptical leaving my pets (and home!) in the hands of someone that I’ve only met once. However after reading her reviews and meeting her, both via FaceTime and in person, I knew that I had nothing to worry about and that my pets would be in great hands! She’s very friendly and easy-going and it’s obvious that she has a passion for dogs. She was very attentive when we went over the details about our pets and asked questions regarding them. She agreed to water our plants while we were away, so we didn’t have to worry about finding someone else to do that while we were gone. She sent messages and pictures every day, without prompting. And we came home to a nice, clean house and yard, with a tired dog, which is exactly what you want when you arrive home from vacation! Margit is definitely someone that we will be contacting again when we need a pet-sitter.

Margit did a beautiful job managing two dogs and a puppy for us. She was on time, took good care of our house and our trio, and worked on behaviors and training with the puppy. We appreciated daily updates and pictures and our three really seemed at home with her.

Margit was great with our dog, she left the house very nice and was very respectful of the space! He had a great time!

Margit is a detailed oriented caregiver for our active yet anxious dog. Would highly recommend Margit for dog walking and house sitting!

Thank you!

Schedule
I have had at least one dog for the majority of my life. If we’re being honest, pet care is my daily routine. I go with the pet’s mood and see where the day takes us.
