’ve had hands-on experience caring for animals for many years. Since around age 12, I’ve regularly helped care for pets belonging to friends, family, and neighbors. During that time I’ve provided feeding, walking, bathing, pet sitting, playtime, and general daily care. I also have experience helping with basic training and working with dogs who were preparing for adoption, which helped me learn how to work with different personalities, energy levels, and comfort needs. Most recently, I’ve been volunteering at a local animal shelter for over 4 months. In this role, I assist with a variety of responsibilities including walking dogs, bathing, playtime and enrichment, administering medications when needed, transporting animals, and helping with overall animal care at the shelter. Working with animals in both home and shelter environments has given me experience with pets of different temperaments, and I always focus on making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I truly enjoy spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while their owners are away. I treat every pet as if they were my own and always do my best to provide reliable, attentive care. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and any special needs so I can provide care that feels familiar and stress-free for them. Through my experience caring for pets and volunteering at a local animal shelter, I’ve worked with animals of many different temperaments and understand the importance of patience, awareness, and safe handling. I always make sure pets are secure on walks, monitored during playtime, and given plenty of attention and care. I’m also happy to follow any specific instructions you have for feeding, medications, routines, or training. I believe communication is very important, so I’m glad to send updates and photos so you can feel confident that your pet is happy and well cared for while you’re away.
Ratings and reviews
Marcus was great with my German Shepherd, Dax. He came out for a meet and greet and spent an hour with us before booking to make sure it was a good match for all of us. He played fetch, took him for walks and otherwise played with him and to get him his needed exercise. If the need arises, we will def. be using Marcus again and would recommend his services.
Marcus has cared for my personal pets as well as the animals at the Great Lakes Humane Society, a numerous occasions, and he has always been responsible, compassionate, and reliable! His love for animals truly shows through and he is extremely patient with them and kept me updated about their care. On a five star rating I would give him a six!
Marcus took great care of my son's cat when it needed a home. He knew how to play with the cat and make it feel at home. He also helped care for my dog. He knows how to handle animals and takes care of their needs. It gave me a peace of mind knowing our beloved pets were in his care!

Schedule
I’m currently in an on call sort of situation, so my schedule is very flexible! I ask that we at least get a few days advance notice due to a fluctuating schedule.
