Dog walking fits in throughout my whole week. I can weave in and out of people's schedules whether they are in the middle of their work week and would like to make sure that their dogs are taken care of during their lunch break or if the pet owners would like a night on the town and want to make sure their four-legged child is taken care of.

When I first introduce myself to a pet when I enter their home, I usually call out to them by name and in a gentle voice. My mother taught me that animals respond to your tone more than anything. I often update the client on their pet's activity. Sometimes if the pet has an accident inside, I will clean it up and if I feel that the pet is ill, I will contact the owner. I have not had an emergency yet. I treat the pet as if it were my own and I share photos and videos with the pet owner throughout the day.

A typical day
We go out on walks, we play in the backyard, we play with chew toys, all at the owner's guidance. I always make sure that dogs are refreshed with plenty of water and ,if requested at the time, food.

Pet care experience
I have walked dogs since I was twelve. The same year I was born, my family adopted a stray border collie puppy whom we named Thor. Other dogs followed in his paw steps. I have been around dogs my whole life. I am originally from Kansas City, MO where I made a name for myself walking the neighbors' dogs.
