I take into account the needs of your dog whether that be that they want to be closer to me or they want space. I am happy to let them on furniture or if you would rather they don’t I will go by your wants and needs. My dog is part of the family and sticks by my side. We have a completely enclosed back garden for toilet breaks & play. We have a front drive but don’t let dogs onto it if not on a leash. I live in a quiet and calm area with a close by park for lots of walks. It is just me & my partner in the house so very little noise. Snacks & cuddles are frequent!

Please let me know if your dog has any special requirements such as medication, or health needs. It would be useful to know their exercise needs, temperament etc.

A typical day

We get up quite early and head to the Peak District for a lovely stroll in the countryside, depending on your dogs needs this can be up to a couple of hours or much shorter if required. We might go paddling or watch the sunrise. Then it is usually nap time, lots of toys available when the pups wake up, followed by another walk in the local park in the afternoon.

Loving Pet Sitter🧡

Pet care experience

Hi! 😊 I'm a lifelong dog lover with years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments—including rescue dogs with complex needs. My partner and I share a calm, loving home with our own dog, Marnie, a medium-sized rescue who we adore. We spend most of our time with her and love including the dogs we care for in our everyday activities—whether that’s exploring new walking routes, relaxing at home, or discovering fun dog-friendly spots. I understand that every dog is unique, and were committed to providing care that’s tailored specifically to your dog’s needs and routines. If your dog is crate trained, we have a clean, comfortable crate available. If they’re used to being on furniture, they’re welcome to make themselves at home here. Sleeping arrangements are flexible too—dogs are welcome to sleep upstairs with us, downstairs, or in their crate depending on what works best for them (and you).

Would 100 percent have Lucy look after Lola again, when we visit next time. Being a very nervous dog, Lucy was perfect with her by giving her the space and care that she needed. I could tell Lola felt comfortable with Lucy and Marnie, from the updates I received during her stay. She was left to explore and nap when she wanted too. Thank you very much Lucy.

Lucy was great with our dog and made the whole experience really easy. She kept us updated while we were away, which was much appreciated, and it was clear she was well looked after. Winnie has been fast asleep since getting back so you can tell she had a great time. Her dog, Marnie, is lovely and they got on really well, so it was nice knowing she had some company too. I'd happily book with Lucy again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter.

Lucy was great with our 2 dogs, really went that extra mile. Plenty of pics and messages so I knew they were settled. It was their first visit and nothing was too much trouble. I really recommend Lucy and we will be using her services next time we're away.

Stanley loves his visits with Lucy (and Marnie 🐶)! It’s such a lovely feeling knowing he’s in good hands, and I love getting the photo updates, they’re so reassuring to see him happy and settled. We’re already looking forward to many more visits!
