I believe dogs should get at least two walks a day if they have the energy and want to go outside, so I will happily walk them multiple times per day. I currently work from home so I will be able to spend time together with your pet all day. I can also let them out in the backyard for play and potty breaks.

I have a private backyard that is gated. Dogs love to sniff around in the grass and take naps in the sun. I follow all my clients' instructions and keep my clients updated while they are away. I love sending photo updates. I have sofa stairs to help elderly or small pets get onto the couch or bed, as well as a ramp to help them into the car if needed. I have a large car for transportation. I have two large dog beds, food bowls, a raised food stand for taller dogs, and lots of treats, or my clients can bring their own. We have central AC and heating. My partner lives at home with me and will also love to spend time with any animals we have stay at our place. He likes to run around in the backyard and play like a dog, and he may also accompany us on walks, but I am present and in charge for all pet care.

I respect the client's decision if they do not want me to let their dog interact with other dogs. It would be helpful to know of any behavioral issues or preferences that the pet has. Of course, I want to stick to the feeding and walking schedule of the pet.
A typical day
I live in a quiet neighborhood with residential streets and plenty of grass to play on. I like taking long walks so the dogs can get fresh air and exercise. I have lots of dog treats if the client would like me to share with their dog.

My sweet Great Dane passed away from cancer a few years ago - she was full of energy and loved fast walks. We used to book her sitters through Rover, and I had such good experiences that I signed up as a sitter myself. I have been dog and cat sitting for my friends and neighbors for years, and I still care for some pets outside of Rover. I am comfortable with giant dogs (140+ pounds) and seniors with medication.

Lizzy provided reliability, reassurance, and comfort while watching our corgi girl, Socks, during a long daycare stay! It was our first time leaving our pup with a sitter and using Rover, as well as Socks’ first time with Lizzy but our nerves were quickly eased by her wonderful care. Lizzy was thoughtful in following the instructions I left and kept us updated throughout the day with plenty of photos and videos. She even managed to calm and comfort Socks after an unexpected fireworks display! We’re so thankful that Socks had such a positive experience with Lizzy and Aaron - our usually cautious pup even warmed up to them and gave snuggles, which says it all. We’ll definitely be booking with Lizzy again!
