Hello, I'm Lindsay! Animals mean so much to me. Dogs, cats, rabbits, you name it! I started fostering kittens at a young age, walking dogs at local animal shelters, and pet sitting for friends and family. I've also worked as a canine coach and kennel attendant at a boarding facility. The animals I have been blessed to care for hold a special place in my heart, and I love them like my own. I've had dogs and cats as pets my whole life, but really they are family and my most cherished best friends! Currently, I have a Bordercollie named Sadie, and a Goldendoodle named Griffen. They have completely opposite personalities and temperaments, but with time, attention, and training, they have become a tight-knit, loving duo. It has been a fun learning experience getting to know them and establishing our daily routines! I think a routine is very important when it comes to having a pet. Routines establish structure, and can reduce anxiety and support the mental and physical health of an animal. My dogs are notably happier and healthier with regular mealtimes, for example. Sadie and Griffen have this internal clock that goes off every day at 5PM (dinner time). You'd think it was Christmas or something! I love watching them prance into the kitchen with excitement. "Potty time" and daily exercise are also important parts of a routine, promoting healthy metabolisms and good digestion! I take my dogs to the park and feel joy because we are all getting exercise. Sadie loves to play fetch, and it's Griffen's mission to sniff every inch of grass. If your doggy has their own routine, I am happy to follow it! If they are a little shy, I will take my time in getting close to them while speaking in a soft tone. I want them to feel comfortable. I can understand shy dogs because I am that way myself. If your dog is extroverted with a lot of energy, I can confidently care for them too! My brother's Australian Shepherd, Arya, is a big ball of energy and I love spending time with her.
