Hi, I’m Kat! I’ve been a cat mom to the love of my life, Elfie, for nearly 12 years and have been cat-obsessed for as long as I can remember. Elfie is anxious and skittish around new people and unfamiliar spaces, so I understand that sometimes pets need extra patience and time before they feel comfortable. I typically let pets approach me at their own pace rather than rushing or overwhelming them. I also love dogs and have cared for them for friends and neighbours. I take them on walks, provide lots of playtime and enrichment activities, and go on outdoor adventures, while following each dog’s routine, energy level, health needs, and comfort level. Every pet has their own unique personality, habits, and preferences, and I know how important it is to pay attention to signals and body language. I’ll follow your instructions carefully and keep their routine as consistent as possible. I will be sure to provide plenty of calm companionship, affection, exercise, and mental stimulation - I want nothing more than to provide the absolute best care for your pet as I would want for Elfie! I know it can be stressful to leave your pet and invite someone into your home - I've been there! You can relax knowing I’ll treat both your pet and your home with the same care and respect I would want for my own. I’m also happy to arrange a meet-and-greet beforehand so we can discuss your pet’s needs and make sure everyone feels comfortable!

Safety, trust & environment
Your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine are my priority. I’ll follow your instructions carefully, keep doors and gates secure, use leashes as requested, and only allow off-leash time, dog parks, hikes, car rides, or other activities with your explicit approval. Before your booking, I’ll make sure I understand your pet’s routine, feeding instructions, medications, exercise needs, triggers, and emergency contacts. If something unexpected happens, I’ll contact you promptly, and if I don't receive a reply within a reasonable timeframe, I will reach out to your emergency contact. Please let me know your preferred veterinary plan ahead of time. I’ll treat your home with respect by keeping it clean, locking doors and windows, and following any alarm or access instructions. I can also water plants, collect mail, take out garbage, and handle any other agreed-upon home details. I’ll also send regular photo and written updates so you can relax while you’re away! I have a cat of my own - for doggy day care in my home, my cat will remain in a separate, secure bedroom/office while your dog uses the rest of the apartment. There will be no unsupervised interaction between them, and I’ll only accept dogs who can safely and comfortably stay in this type of environment.

Hey! Martha here. I want to make sure everyone knows that Kat’s the right hoomansitter for your furry child. As an anxious and nervous girl (daddy says I’m just like mama), Kat respected my boundaries and made my very first sleepover away from my mama a success. She was very patient with me, especially against those small noosy box hoomans called elevator. I didn’t feel judged or pressured, but she helped me get a little more confident. She didn’t give me as many treats as mama, or carried me like daddy, but I loved my experience. Can’t wait for my parents to need her help again! M.
Kat has taken care of my sweet cat a few times and both me and my cat just love her! My cat doesn’t love everyone right away and she immediately loved Kat. I feel like that says enough! Kat was very easy to coordinate with - responsive, understanding (i.e. of my cat’s very particular meal schedule), and so caring. I cannot recommend her highly enough! Amazing pet caregiver!
Kat took incredible care of my Border Collie, Rico, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the start, she was accommodating, attentive, and happy to accommodate all of my requests. She went above and beyond by sending so many photo updates. I always knew my dog was happy, safe, and clearly having an amazing time on the many hikes with Kat. It's clear she genuinely loves animals and treats them like they're her own. I wouldn't hesitate to trust Kat with Rico again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will care for their pet with kindness, love, and enthusiasm.
Kat is fantastic with animals, my dog took to her instantly and was clearly comfortable and happy in her care. She’s reliable, personable, thoughtful, and communicates well throughout each visit. I always know my dog is in great hands with her. Can’t recommend her enough!

Schedule
I’m currently taking on freelance work, so I have a flexible schedule and can provide care during the day. For drop-in visits and dog walks, we can agree on a schedule that works well for your pet’s routine. During housesitting stays, I’ll spend most of my time in your home and will only be out for errands or other necessary commitments. I’ll confirm the expected schedule with you in advance so you know how long your pet will be alone. For doggy day care, I’ll be home for most of the day aside from walks, outdoor activities, and occasional errands. I’ll make sure your dog receives regular bathroom breaks, exercise, attention, meals, and rest throughout the day.
