First Aid Certified Behaviourist

Hi there! My name is Julie and I’m a huge animal lover currently doing a masters in Clinical Animal Behaviour. I’ve always had a deep interest in understanding animals and how they interact with us, which led me to pursue formal studies in animal behaviour. Alongside my studies, I have fun teaching my pets tricks! I believe that regular exercise and mental stimulation is essential to pets' welfare, which is why I decided to offer my dog-walking and home-visits services. I’m calm, patient and attentive with animals, and I’m very mindful of their comfort and wellbeing. Whether your dog enjoys long walks and exploring, or prefers a slower and quieter outing, I’m happy to adapt to what suits them best. Because of my studies, I’m particularly attentive to body language and behaviour, and I always aim to create a safe and positive experience for the pets in my care. Furthermore, I feel comfortable following any training or behaviour modification plans that might have been put in place for them! I’m based in Kittybrewster and happy to walk dogs in the local area as well as do home visits. While I'm mostly experienced with dogs, cats, and rodents, feel free to message me for exotics! I’m reliable, responsible and will treat your pet with the same care and attention I would give my own. I look forward to meeting you and your pet! PS: I have recently completed Canine First Aid and CPR training.

House Sitting • Jun 22, 2026

We had only ever left our dog with family members so this was a big deal for us but I would absolutely recommend Julie. Our boy was well looked after and we got updates and pictures.

Julie was great. Went above and beyond to take care of my cat, very communicative with updates. Will book with her again.

Julie has done an amazing job looking after my cat. I received daily updates which were really nice. She was happy with additional asks I had which I really appreciated as my cat has funky quirks which require a bit more attention. My wee one was happy when we came back and there was no sign of stress which I can only thank Julie for. I would definitely book Julie again.

Dog Walking • Apr 21, 2026

Julie has been great. The dogs love her and she is very adaptable. Even when one of my dogs had an injury, she carefully managed and they had a great time. Highly recommended!

Schedule

My master's is online meaning I have a very flexible schedule! I do have a part-time job of +/- 10 hours per week. My shifts are usually in the afternoon on Thursdays and Saturdays but as this can vary slightly I recommend getting in touch! I am unavailable Mondays and Wednesday between 4pm and 9pm due to language classes but will happily come check on your pet/walk your dog before or after!

Julie can host up to 3 drop-ins per day
For walks: I will need to know whether your dog has a perfect recall (comes back when their name is called no matter what) and how they react to other dogs and people. This is to protect both your dog's health and safety. For home visits: Beyond knowing about any medical conditions and food/toileting needs, I will also need to know what your pet is like! Are they energetic and outgoing? I will play with them and make sure we can release as much of that energy as possible in 30min! Are they chill and clingy? I will give them plenty of cuddles and make sure they feel loved! Are they shy and prefer to be left alone? In that case I will dedicate my visit to cleaning anything that needs cleaned and refilling their food and water bowls.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
