Experienced Care for Every Pet! 🐾

I’ve been caring for animals for over 18 years, and pets have always been a huge part of my life. As a pet owner myself, I know how nerve-racking it can be to leave your pets with someone else—especially when they have their own routines, personalities, quirks, and very strong opinions about how things should be done. 😂 I’m especially comfortable with large, strong, high-energy, and high-drive dogs. I shared 11 years with my own Rottweiler, so I have a particular soft spot for big dogs and breeds that are often misunderstood. I also currently have a Belgian Malinois that I’ve raised myself, which has given me firsthand experience with dogs that need consistency, structure, patience, exercise, and someone who understands how much personality and intelligence can come with a high-drive breed. Big dogs or breeds that may seem intimidating to others don’t make me nervous. I genuinely enjoy working with them and getting to know the individual dog rather than making assumptions based on breed alone. That said, every pet is different, and I think good care starts with understanding your pet. Some want nonstop attention and cuddles, some want to play all day, and some would prefer that I respectfully admire them from across the room until they decide we’re friends. 😂 I take the time to learn their normal routine, likes and dislikes, what makes them comfortable, and any little quirks that make them who they are. I’m also big on reliability and communication. You’re trusting me with a member of your family, not just giving me a list of tasks to complete. I want you to be able to leave home knowing your pets are safe, loved, getting plenty of attention, and being cared for by someone who genuinely wants to be there.

Pets

Safety, trust & environment

Your pet’s safety and comfort come first for me. When I’m caring for pets in their own home, I do my best to keep their routine as normal and familiar as possible. I’ll follow the instructions you leave for feeding, walks, potty breaks, medications, crate routines, sleeping arrangements, and anything else that is important to you and your pet. I’m very mindful of the little things that can make a big difference—making sure doors and gates are secure, using the leash or equipment you prefer, keeping pets away from anything they shouldn’t have access to, and paying attention to changes in their behavior, appetite, energy, or bathroom habits. I also respect that I’m a guest in your home. I’ll treat your space carefully, keep things tidy, and make sure your home is secure whenever I come and go. Most importantly, I never assume that every pet should be handled the same way. I’ll follow your lead when it comes to their personality, boundaries, training, triggers, and comfort level. Whether your pet wants to be attached to my hip all evening or needs a little time and space before deciding I’ve earned their trust, I’m happy to meet them where they are. And yes—I’m absolutely going to love on them while you’re gone. ❤️ My goal is for you to come home to a safe, happy pet who was genuinely cared for, not simply checked off a list.

We highly recommend Jasmine. We were so nervous leaving our 6 month old puppy and 13-year-old dog for the first time, but Jasmine was amazing! Her extensive knowledge of dogs was incredibly reassuring right from the start. She sent us pictures and updates that kept us completely at ease. It takes a lot of skill to manage a puppy's energy while caring for a senior dog', and Jasmine handled it flawlessly. We will absolutely book her again!" Thank you, Jasmine!"

We’ve booked Jasmine before and there’s a reason we used her again! She takes great care of our pups and leaves the house super clean! She’s prompt with communication and great about sending pictures and videos of our four legged kids when we are away which is fantastic.

Schedule

I want to be completely upfront about my availability so you can decide whether I’m the right fit for your pet! I work a full-time job Monday through Friday outside of the home, and Rover is something I do because I genuinely love caring for animals—not because it is my full-time job. For weekday house-sitting stays, please expect me to be away from the home during normal working hours. Depending on where you live and my commute from your home, I am typically gone from around 6:00 a.m. until approximately 5:00 p.m. It may be a little shorter or occasionally a little longer depending on your location. Because of this, Monday-through-Friday stays are best suited for pets who are already comfortable being home during a normal workday. Weekends are very different! Once I’m home Friday evening, I am generally available to be with your pet throughout the weekend and can stay at the home for most or all of the day as needed. This makes weekend stays a great option for pets who need more frequent potty breaks, extra attention, more companionship, or simply aren’t used to being alone for long stretches of time. For example, if you leave Friday afternoon and return Monday morning, I can typically be with your pet from Friday evening through the weekend until I need to leave for work Monday morning. During the time I’m home, I’m happy to follow whatever routine your pet is used to—walks, playtime, feeding schedules, medications, potty breaks, couch cuddles, bedtime routines, or dinner at an extremely specific time because we both know they will absolutely notice if I’m late. 😂 I also take your instructions seriously. You know your pet better than anyone, so I want to know about their routines, personality, boundaries, quirks, favorite things, and anything that helps them feel comfortable. My goal isn’t to come into your home and change what works. It’s to keep things as normal and familiar as possible while you’re away. Above all, I want you to feel comfortable leaving your pet with me. I’ll care for them with the same patience, attention, and affection I would want someone to give my own.

Tell me everything! I don’t expect your pet to be perfectly behaved, and things like barking, leash reactivity, separation anxiety, resource guarding, nervousness around new people, or other quirks don’t automatically scare me away. I’ve raised and cared for dogs with very different personalities and behavioral needs myself, so I understand that a behavior doesn’t make a dog “bad.” I just need to know about it so I can keep both your pet and myself safe and set them up for a successful stay. The more honest and detailed you are with me, the better. Please let me know about their normal feeding and potty schedule, exercise needs, medications or health concerns, sleeping arrangements, favorite activities, commands they know, and how long they’re normally comfortable being alone. I especially want to know about anything that may come up while we’re out or while I’m handling them. Are they reactive to dogs, cats, bikes, children, strangers, or anything else on walks? Do they guard food, toys, furniture, or certain spaces? Are there parts of their body they don’t like being touched? Do they try to bolt through doors or escape the yard? Have they ever snapped or bitten? Do they become anxious when someone leaves? Please tell me—even if you think it sounds minor. None of that is about judging your pet. Knowing ahead of time means I can do things differently if needed—cross the street before another dog gets too close, give them space while they eat, avoid a particular trigger, secure a door differently, or simply give a nervous pet more time to decide that I’m safe. And please tell me all the fun little things too! What makes them happy? What settles them down? Are they allowed on the furniture? Where do they normally sleep? Do they have a favorite toy, treat, word, or routine? Is there something completely ridiculous they do that I’m going to discover five minutes after you leave? 😂 I genuinely want to know. You know your pet better than anyone, and I would always rather have too much information than not enough. The goal isn’t for your pet to behave differently for me—it’s for me to understand them well enough to care for them safely and comfortably while you’re away.
