I will care for your pets as my own. I know first hand how stressful it is to travel and leave your best friend behind. I can also offer peace of mind that your pet is not left at home all day alone. If you're coming down for vacation I can spend time with your pet while you're out enjoying yourself. I worked as a Veterinary Technician for 20 years before moving to the Florida Keys in 2020. Before that I volunteered at the ASPCA in Bermuda for 2 years, mostly walking dogs and helping with adoptions. I started working with Rover in 2019 but have been pet sitting on my own for many years. I have 1 rescue dog named Walter. In my spare time I like to sail, kayak, play pickleball, hike and ride my motorcycle. I recently purchased a stand up paddle board and am trying to master that! I enjoy yoga, music, ziplining, skydiving, gardening, traveling and St. Louis Cardinals baseball! I also volunteer at the Baptist Church food pantry and for the Florida Keys Save a Turtle organization. In the time I lived in Louisville and St. Louis I volunteered assisting in surgery for TNR programs for unowned cats. In St. Louis I volunteered for Bi State Pet Food Pantry which helps low income individuals keep their pets by supplying pet food and other essential items. In my last year in St.Louis I also volunteered at The Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House. In Louisville I helped with vaccine clinics for Pets 4Life and assisted with surgeries for Alley Cat Advocates. I have fostered numerous dogs over the years until they find their forever homes. Often I fostered dogs after surgeries or illnesses until they were healthy enough for adoption. I am able to give oral and injectable medications You can rest assured that safety is my number one priority when looking after your baby. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns. At the moment I'm not working so I am very flexible to help you with your pets needs. I am available for pick up and drop off if needed. I can transport your pets to vet or grooming appointments as well. Please contact me if you'd like to set up a time for me to meet you and your fur baby. For drop in visits I can check your mail, water plants and anything else you may need, as well as taking care of your pets.
