Animals aren't just my job, they're my whole life. I'm a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN), so caring for pets is something I do every day, but it definitely doesn't stop when I get home! I have my own dog and five cats, so I'm very used to the chaos, cuddles and different personalities that come with a multi-pet household. From playful zoomies to quiet sofa snuggles, I genuinely love every part of living with animals. Through my work in veterinary practice, I've gained hands-on experience caring for pets of all breeds, ages and temperaments, including nervous or reactive animals, seniors and those with medical needs. I'm confident administering medications, monitoring health and recognising when something isn't quite right, so you can feel reassured your pet is in safe, knowledgeable hands. I know how important it is to trust someone with your pet, they're family. Whether your dog needs a fun, enriching walk, your cat needs calm and patient care, or your pet has specific routines or health requirements, I'll always tailor my care to suit them. I take the time to build trust, keep things consistent and make sure every pet feels happy, relaxed and secure. You'll receive plenty of updates, photos and honest communication while your pet is with me because I know how much that peace of mind matters, I would want exactly the same for my own animals. A little about our family; although you'll be booking with me, caring for animals is very much a team effort in our home. My husband is a huge animal lover and has grown up surrounded by dogs, especially Staffordshire Bull Terriers, so caring for dogs has always been second nature to him. He also has around 10 years' experience caring for exotic animals alongside me and is confident handling reptiles and other exotic species. He works permanent night shifts, meaning he's home during the day while I'm at work. This means our boarding dogs aren't left alone, they have company, regular toilet breaks, playtime and lots of attention throughout the day. He especially enjoys taking our dalmatian, Fen, out for runs and adventures and loves spending time with every animal that stays with us. Together we're a real tag team, making sure every pet receives the love, companionship and care they deserve. I'm also very comfortable caring for the weird and wonderful exotic creatures too! As an exotic RVN and owner of snakes, lizards and tortoises, I'm happy to provide knowledgeable care for reptiles and other exotic pets while you're away. I work full time as an RVN, but thanks to my husband's night shift pattern there's always someone at home during the day for our boarding dogs. I'm available for dog boarding on weekends and during my annual leave, while cats are welcome all year round in their own dedicated cat room. Our home has a large, secure fenced garden and our friendly dog, who is very well socialised and enjoys having canine visitors. He's crate trained, and we also have security cameras around the property for added peace of mind. My cats are all indoor cats, and we have a separate spare room dedicated to boarding cats and foster cats when we're helping our local rescue. This room has a large window, water fountain, litter trays, cat trees, comfortable beds and plenty of enrichment, giving feline guests a quiet, stress-free space away from the rest of the house. Whether your pet stays for a day, a weekend or a longer holiday, they'll be welcomed into our home as one of the family. My aim is always to make sure they feel safe, loved and cared for, so you can relax knowing they're in experienced, compassionate hands.
