Certified positive dog trainer. 26 years as an adult volunteer puppy raiser for a guide dog school. This includes welcoming a puppy at 7 weeks old and teaching it basic commands and socialization skills until it was between 12-14 months of age. The puppy is then called back to the school to learn harness work and be assigned a blind person. I am also a therapy dog handler and routinely visit libraries, care homes and schools with my dog. My pup has AKC therapy dog title, canine good citizen and working on trick title. While I will not sit in my own home, I will gladly travel to your home throughout the day. Love to walk, hike and go on adventures. An animal lover, I currently have a German Shepherd and Lab cross of my own. Also experienced with cats/kittens, horses, fish and most rodents. I am very conscientious and responsible. I expect my dog to be treated well and will do the same with your furry family.

Safety, trust & environment
While in your home, I will happily spend time walking and/or playing with your pet to ensure they release some energy. If they are outside (even in a fenced in yard), I will be with them the entire visit.

Cherrie was great. I loved the rover cards she left for me with our visits. Complete with pictures and updates. She was very patient with our shy cat as well.
Cherrie was our pet sitter for our cat when we went away for a few days. Tiger normally hides with strangers but Cherrie sat on the floor and quietly allowed Tiger to come say hello. She made her visits enjoyable for him and got rewarded with visits from an affectionate kitty. We are so grateful to Cherrie for being a patient pet sitter and taking such great care of Tiger.

I recently retired from my job to work with therapy and service dogs in training. I now have more availability to care for your pets.
