We don’t have a fenced yard and use a supervised long lead for outside/potty time. Not even my own dogs are unleashed. They will still get plenty of exercise and sniffing opportunities! I do slow introductions with my dogs for any boarding in my home. Through experience, this is what is best for them and overall comfort for all mammals involved! It usually entails meeting through gates, walking together, then meeting freely inside on leash, then off leash if I see good body language, etc. Please be aware of that prior to sending requests.

I prefer to be informed of any medical issues (including mobility concerns), behavioral triggers, and general at-home routine prior to a pet coming into my home.
A typical day
We will walk wherever we can (neighborhoods, woods, city trails, etc)! I love the water so if you have four-legged water lovers, I am happy to take them down to a lake or a beach and let them have a blast! I'm open to dog parks but I would want to have a good bond with a pooch first to ensure their response to me is a good one (in case of a snafu with any other dogs).

Pet care experience
My mantra: Pets rule! I am surrounded by animals and animal related stuff all day. I worked at a vet hospital for 10yrs (running the front desk and doing minor tech assistance in surgery), I had my own (unofficial) pet-sitting business in Seattle and I work for a pet insurance company currently. I will treat all animals like my own, I have no fear of dog fur being on EVERYTHING and I will always put your furry loved ones at the top of my priority list! My schedule is flexible and whatever your friend needs, I will do my very best to provide it! I have two pups of my own, one who is almost 6 and another who is 2 and very energetic! I love and appreciate all breeds and ages and am confident I can provide the best care for them all. :)
