Ashley’s Pet Zen
Animals are my passion. I cared for my beloved Parson Russell Terrier, Milo, from 2000 to 2015, and he’s the reason I fell in love with caring for all animals. That love led me to volunteer at the Berkeley Humane Society as a cat companion in 2014, and later at the Santa Cruz SPCA as a dog walker from 2024 to 2025. I’ve also transported rescued animals—most memorably a German Shepherd from NYC to his forever home in Florida—and have cared for friends’ and family’s pets for many years. While I don’t currently have pets of my own, I’m fully committed to providing exceptional, reliable, and compassionate care for yours. Whether it’s a walk, drop-in visit, or overnight stay, your pet will be treated like family. I follow your pet’s established routine—feeding, walking, medication, and comfort—and during extended stays, I’m happy to water plants, collect mail, and keep your home tidy. My mission is simple: to care for your pets with genuine love, respect, and dependability.

Our dog is a typical German Shepherd, super attached and a good amount of anxiety. So we were definitely concerned about leaving her for 10 days. With Ashley, we learned quickly we had nothing to worry about. They bonded right away and the happy dog photos she sent along during our trip are some of the best photos we have of her. Ashley was incredibly caring and kept our pup on a consistent daily schedule. I highly recommend Ashley for caring for your pets.

I work part-time with a flexible schedule, which allows me to be available throughout the week for you and your pet. My background in customer service has taught me the importance of reliability, communication, and attention to detail—qualities I bring to every pet care visit.
