Pet care experience

🐶 Pharmacist Dog Sitter

What sets me apart from other sitters is my background as a licensed pharmacist combined with my genuine passion for caring for dogs. My professional experience has strengthened my attention to detail, reliability, and ability to follow precise care instructions, which is especially important for pets with medical needs. I am comfortable administering medications, monitoring for changes in behavior or health, and following specific routines provided by pet parents. I also have experience caring for both energetic puppies and senior dogs. With puppies, I focus on consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement to support basic training, leash manners, and house routines. For senior dogs, I prioritize comfort, gentle exercise, and close attention to mobility, appetite, and overall well-being. Whether your dog needs active playtime or calm companionship, I adapt to their individual needs to ensure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away.

Schedule

Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine as I work part-time as a pharmacist, which gives me a flexible and structured schedule. My pharmacy shifts are planned in advance, allowing me to reliably set aside dedicated time for pet sitting, dog walking, and drop-in visits on my off days and around my work hours. Because my schedule is organized and consistent, I’m able to give pets my full attention when I’m with them rather than rushing between commitments. I enjoy starting or ending my day with walks, playtime, feeding routines, and check-ins, and I’m comfortable adjusting my availability to meet each pet’s needs when possible. This balance allows me to provide dependable, attentive care while maintaining a professional work life as a pharmacist. I would like to eventually grow this into a full time commitment.

Safety, trust & environment

When caring for pets in a client’s home, my top priorities are safety, trust, and keeping their normal routine as consistent as possible. I carefully follow all instructions provided, including feeding schedules, walk routines, medication needs, and any special care directions. I treat every home with respect and make sure doors, gates, leashes, and other safety measures are handled responsibly to prevent any accidents or escapes. I work part-time, which allows me to be organized and dependable with my scheduling so pets receive focused, unhurried attention during each visit. At home, I also have a family of three teenage daughters who love animals, which helps reinforce a calm, pet-friendly mindset in my daily life. While I remain the primary caregiver during any pet sitting, our household’s appreciation for animals reflects the caring and responsible environment I bring to every visit. I always aim to build trust with both pets and their owners by being consistent, patient, and attentive, so pets feel comfortable and secure while their family is away.
