I live in a single-family home in Bloomington. There are no other pets in the home. I am a non-smoker and love animals. Since the pandemic, my husband works from home full time . We are very experienced in caring for all types of breeds of dogs and ages. I am comfortable administering medications, insulin, and other special needs. I do not have a fenced backyard, but I always accompany the pets when outdoors. I enjoy physical exercise and will walk the dog(s) I care for at least 2x a day, if permissible. I am the main caretaker. My neighbors have dogs and young children, but their home is fenced in. I have a large backyard where pets can play fetch if they enjoy the game. Lots of space to run and play. We have young children (under 5 years old) in our home. We are only willing to accept pets that are open to or friendly with children. We have cared for pets for over a 25 years and the testimonials are only a fraction of the dogs we have cared for and love. We also work with our extended family in the area who can accommodate dogs that are not ok with children. Please reach out if you have questions. We look forward to hearing from you.

Allison and her family were so welcoming to our girl Fiona. We knew that Fiona would be in good hands while we were on vacation. We received daily updates and pictures which made us feel more at ease. Allison's home is not air conditioned which Fiona probably enjoyed the warmer house, since I keep ours at 68*. Also, Allison now has adorable mini humans and the home is now filled with kid toys and lots of kid/baby equipment making for tighter spaces but Fiona loves kids and a couch so it wasn't an issue for Fiona who would love to lay around and watch the world go by. We would consider Allison again for our future needs. She gave Fiona plenty of exercise with daily walks and outside time.
Our corgi, Muffin, had a great stay! Allison responds promptly, gave us updates with pictures, and took exceptional care of our fur baby. Thank you!
Oscar, our elderly dog, did so well with Allison and her family. She asked great questions about his care and the Oscar came back home after his stay well rested and calm.
Allison took great care of CeCe. We got plenty of pictures and felt like everything went super smooth!
Buddy had a great stay with Allison! I had a sitter no show on drop off day and she came to my rescue. She really went out of her way to help me out during a busy holiday season. During Buddy's stay, I got daily updates and pictures. Allison was attentive to Buddy's needs and made sure to ask plenty of questions to ensure she knew his routine. I would highly recommend having Allison watch your furry friend.
We've worked with Allison twice now and her service is consistent and top notch.

Schedule
My husband and I are home full time during the week and on weekends we run errands. We care for the dogs with routines they are most accustomed to. There is a nature trail not too far away that I like going on and it takes about 20 minutes for one loop.

Pets thrive on routines. I try and re-create and keep a routine that they are most accustomed to. Feeding times and walks to match what you would do for your own pet. I have family that live near. Your pet will be treated like family and are welcome to visit my family for more human companionship if he/she is accustomed to it. This can mean going on errands, walks, runs etc. activity as tolerated.
A typical day
Places we like to go on walks are: -Around the neighborhood -Bloomington's dog park -Centennial Lake in Edina -Lake Calhoun/Harriet/of the Isles -The local marsh/park nearby We will be spending a lot of quality time together. I enjoy staying active.

- Things I would like to learn more about before caring for an animal may be: -What is the feeding schedule like? -Any aversion to certain things? (i.e. other dogs, small children etc.) -Allergies? -Any likes/dislikes? -How far can your dog run/walk for? or time duration? -Any medications? -Does your dog run away? escape artist? -Can your dog navigate stairs? going up or down? -How often does your dog need a bio-break? I do request a different rate for dogs that do not get along with other dogs and it's a holiday $55/day. This is because I will have to turn down other potential dogs and current clients to ensure the safety of your dog. If it's not a holiday, this does not apply.
