I’ve built up hands-on experience caring for pets through house-sitting and pet-sitting platforms including TrustedHousesitters and HouseSitters.com, looking after pets in their own homes while keeping their usual routines as consistent as possible. I’m comfortable with both dogs and cats, and I understand how important it is for pets to feel relaxed and secure when their owners are away. My approach is calm, reliable and attentive — whether that means walks, feeding, playtime, company, overnight stays or simply making sure everything at home is exactly as you left it. I’m particularly mindful of following owners’ instructions closely, keeping pets to their normal schedules, and providing regular updates so you can enjoy your time away without worrying about what’s happening back home. I’m also very comfortable staying in someone else’s home and treating it with the same care and respect I would my own. Having previously completed house sits through dedicated house-sitting platforms, I’m used to balancing pet care with looking after the home itself. I’m now offering dog walking, drop-in visits and house sitting around Edinburgh, and I’m keen to build up a regular group of local pets and owners.

Safety, trust & environment
My priority is always to keep pets feeling safe, settled and comfortable in their own environment. I follow owners’ instructions closely, including feeding routines, walking routes, medication, house rules and any individual quirks or preferences your pet may have. When staying in someone’s home, I’m very respectful of the property and make sure it is kept clean, secure and looked after throughout the stay. I’ll also keep you updated with messages and photos so you know how your pet is getting on while you’re away. I take a calm and patient approach with animals and prefer to let them get comfortable with me at their own pace, particularly with pets that are initially nervous or shy.

Adam loves animals. He grew up with dogs in his family home and would love to have a pet himself some day. Any time we're together and we meet someone with a dog, he stops to greet them (human and dog!) and have a chat. He's cared for my family's dog on a number of occasions - taking him for walks, feeding him and providing general cuddles and fun! Adam is responsible, organised and thoughtful. He would be a great caregiver to any animal.

Schedule
Pet care fits really naturally into my routine, and I’m happy to work around each pet’s usual schedule as much as possible. I can offer walks, drop-in visits and overnight house sitting, including mornings, evenings and weekends depending on availability. When house sitting, I’m used to building my day around feeding times, walks, playtime and keeping pets company. I’ve previously cared for pets through house-sitting platforms including TrustedHousesitters.com, so I’m very comfortable adapting to different homes, routines and personalities.

- The more I know about your pet beforehand, the better I can look after them. It’s helpful to know their usual feeding and walking routine, temperament, energy level, recall and behaviour around other dogs, people and children. Please also let me know about any medical conditions, medication, allergies, dietary requirements or behavioural quirks such as anxiety, reactivity, resource guarding or separation anxiety. I’d also love to know the little things that make them happy - favourite walks, toys, treats, sleeping spots and anything else that helps them feel comfortable and at home.
