answered a question When you post feedback on a dog, can the owners view it?

Why hasn't a Rover rep addressed this question? It clearly seems your sitters are asking for it. Rather than ignore it perhaps you might provide a thoughtful explanation why Rover thinks it a bad idea to allow owner/canine commentary to be public.

answered a question How do I leave a review for a dog that I sat for?

Unfortunately the review is only for Rover's and your eyes. I think it would be beneficial for other sitter's to be able to see your review and provide the group with insight into problem dogs. For example: sitting for a 7 mo old puppy whose owner claimed their pup was 100% house trained. Not true. Lots of inside messes! Another example: I had a meet and greet that went OK. By accident I was speaking with another sitter when we discovered my meet and greet was with her former client that she refused to sit for again for the same reasons: not house broken and overly aggressive. It would be a benefit to all to share the problem owners who move from sitter to sitter because their pups are a problem.

answered a question Does Rover send a notification to pet owners to review a sitter after the stay is over?

You should have their cell phone # so I would send them a 'happy' text reminder.

answered a question How to add payment for additional days?

I state that our $40 fee is for a 24 hr period. Anything more than 2 hours over that will trigger a $20 overtime/daycare charge.

answered a question Are in of your sitters comfortable or experienced in giving injections , twice a day .

We offer both oral meds and injectables (not IV) as part of our service offering. We are based in Charleston, SC.

commented answer Multiple dogs watched at one time?

Is it really "It is impossible to dog sit without an occasional trip to the vet", I can't imagine how hard that must be for you! Is this because your guests fight and hurt each other?

answered a question how to get a returning dog to pee/poop outside instead of on my carpets?

I find adequate exercise to be the best solution. Nothing moves the bowels better. Get her to the park/dog park, wherever she can really stretch her legs for more than 10-15 minutes.

answered a question Dog chewed up clothes.

Tough but certainly a valid question. You don't want to possibly alienate your guests parents. Chalk up to a learning curve. I had two guests last week. One of them ripped a hole in our couch cushion. But we don't know which one. It happened within 5 minutes while we were in another room. It's an old couch so we just flipped the cushion. hahahaha. I also hate confrontation.

answered a question Who pays for the food?

Always have the owner provide their 'child's' food. There's no Rover stipulation that you are to provide any food. I also think it somewhat a gamble were you to choose to feed a guest your 'house' blend' that it won't create a tummy issue.

answered a question Who here has actually placed a Rover yard sign in a dog park?

I think it's a great idea and plan to crete my own sign as Rover doesn't (as yet ;) offer one. I view it as just posting a concert poster on a lamp post. I don't think I'll invest in anything like a metal frame realty sign, but just some laminated paper that I can zip tie to a tree or fence. If it gets removed no great loss. But I'm not too fearful of any repercussions. Some dog parks have bulletin boards could include just this sort of promotion.
