My dog will growl and shows her teeth and acts like she wants to attack but doesn't? My dogs would behave similar at first but with each meet and greet their behavior improves each time. I have learned to have new dog off leash in the my yard, comfortable. They I let my younger dog out first to get over her extreme excitement. I then let the older dog out who finds everyone happy and playing. When they are all together at once it is overwhelming for all dogs. You could try meet and greet at the owner's home with your dog. Have you tried that instead? |

| answered a question | Any sitters with cats? I too started in late August and most of my boarding dogs have not been around cats. Luckily my three cats are "dog" cats and just ignore the dogs. A few chases and barking have occurred but mostly my cats brush it off like your cats. At first I was concerned about dogs who never been around cats but now I know my cats can handle themselves and convert non-cat dogs to cat dogs! I have a chaweenie that I do doggy daycare and she thinks the cats are small dogs and the cats think she is a cat. It is so funny!! Have a great day and Happy November! |
