I did a search which I found extremely interesting. I searched my zip code for a specific service (drop-in). I left all other parameters open. Using my iPhone with the Rover app I was in the top 3, using the iPhone with Safari I was in the top 8, iPhone and Firefox gave a different result altogether.

The interesting part was the sitter which was 1st one of the searches (Firefox I think) didn’t show at all in the top 200 of the other (iPhone Rover app). I also compared results on an android with the app and with Firefox, and on a laptop using Firefox, Edge and Chrome. They were all significantly different (though it did surprise me that all of the searches on the laptop looked to be consistent with each other). I spent most of yesterday designing a spreadsheet with my results that I was going to submit to Rover. It is a very large endeavor.

What’s wrong with PayPal? I made two small purchases in January between the 2nd and 10th. It was the only time I had used PayPal for several years. A few weeks ago when I went to link it to Rover, I couldn’t access the account so I called their customer service. The computer recognized my account but the associates couldn’t find it. Long story short the account was locked. They said they payment hadn’t cleared (<$15), was over 200 days late and had been turned over to collections. This was all news to me since there was no reason for the bank not to have honored it (the first charge was paid), I also had received NO Emails requesting payment (I keep all my emails, and regularly check my junk folder so it didn’t go there) They treated me like I was stupid and lying. I offered to pay them, they refused and said I had to pay the collection company.... Today I went back to my bank and got printouts of the statements for that time, the first payment shows, but the 2nd payment charge was NEVER submitted for payment by the bank. Now, they’ve been hurting my credit for months without my knowledge and I can’t process Rover thru them because they’ve frozen the account, and it IS THEIR error!

A white or gray poodle will stain from regular licking, or tear stains at the eyes so I would expect the same would apply with the belly band. You didn’t say how old your pup is, or how long the belly band is left on at a time. It may help to have several bands so they can be changed frequently. It may also help to give him more frequent baths with a mild shampoo.

Usually when a dog suddenly objects to a previously acceptable action, something that caused them pain is now associated with it. In this case maybe there was a bad experience with the neighbor.

Be gentle with the dog, as I’m sure you are. When she remembers that you didn’t cause the pain she should improve. Having the owner put the harness on her while you are there is a good start, then assist the owner to harness her and finally move on to harnessing her yourself.

I found (and read/heard) that this behavior could be caused by the food consumed by the “pooper”. Some cheap foods are not fully digested and thus come out with the poo.

We found that switching to a higher quality dog food stopped this behavior. Our breeder recommended Pro Plan. After switching to this we also found the dogs had smaller firmer poops which was a benefit when accidents happened, they were much easier and cleaner to pick up.

I had a female dog who jumped my leg twice in the six or so years I had her, both times she was telling me I was in a situation she didn’t think was safe(this I realized after the 2nd time). On both occasions I was standing near someone. The 2nd time I was standing near someone she had known for years, and had no issues with. On this occasion they were inebriated. When I moved away from the person she returned to laying at my feet and never did it again.

Male dogs will do the same action to other dogs as a sign of dominance, it is not sexual in the way we way we think of it.

I would pay attention to the “conditions” (who, What, where when). When he does this to see if there is a pattern, that could help determine if there’s something he’s trying to say.

I have a poodle that behaved similarly. He didn’t want to go out in my backyard. Then I found he would prompt me to go to the frontyard. My dogs had a flea problem.

Long story short, he had decided that he was picking up the fleas from the backyard. When flea problems solved, he went out in the backyard happily.

It is possible your dog has made a similar determination (about something, not necessarily fleas). Observe her closely, can you take another route? Does she respond differently then? Watching her nuances may help determine the underlying cause and lead to a solution. Good luck.

You should definitely consult your physician. Your reaction could also be caused by a product they are using on the dog. This might be the quickest and cheapest avenue to pursue, ask them what products they use/feed their dog
