answered a question Do most Rover dog walkers charge an additional fee to walk 2 dogs at the same time ?

Hi! I think each case is different for example, a walk is suppose to be 30 minutes. If the dogs can walk side by side then I charge one fee, or if the owner wants me to do 15 min for one and 15 for the other one I also charge one fee. Some people just want a potty break not a long walk. But if it's 2 dogs that walk separately, it's going to take an hour to walk them both so yes I charge a little more but not 2 fees. Hope it helps!

answered a question Need help finding a good dog breed?

I would recommend looking into shelters, they have great puppies fostered by families. The puppies are vaccined and neutered/spayed and cost way less then a pure breed. Plus you'll be doing such a beautiful thing. As a rescue mom I could only recommend you looking into it! My dog is my kids best friend!

asked a question 2 dogs (same house) that can't walk together, what would you do?

Hi, I usually try to figure out the best way to accommodate my customers. When I filled out my profile preferences, I specified that I would make a price for walking two dogs of the same family granted the 2 dogs could walk together( which you can't precise). The other day I received a request from 2 roommates asking me to walk their 2 dogs. Since only one of them has a profile on Rover, they added the 2 dogs as they belong to the same person so when they did the request the price that I was going to be paid was 2 dogs of the same family. Which I don't mind but the thing is these 2 dogs can't be walked together. So I would need to walk one for 30min then the other one for 30min. My question is: isn't it supposed to be 2 separate walks pricing? What would you do in a similar case?

I don't want to seem greedy or anything. Thank you

answered a question I recently employed a Rover dogsitter in her home. While there, my 15 mos old chewed a few things. The sitter is asking me to pay for reimbursement. Wasn't it the sitters job to make sure the dog did not do damage?

As a sitter, I always "dog proof" my house before getting a new host. Especially if it's a puppy and I definitely ask for a crate if I have to leave the house for few hours (or I'll take the puppy with me if possible). I believe situations are different from case to case. Some owners purposely forget to tell sitters about their dog's personality. But like I said, it takes a little time to figure out a dog and until then, I don't fully trust them around my things. Then little by little I figure them out and chose how much I can trust them.

commented answer What do I do if there is no contact from owners on the day of pickup?

How would you add any extra charge for late pick up? Do we have to contact Rover or can you do it yourself?
