2 dogs (same house) that can't walk together, what would you do?

Hi, I usually try to figure out the best way to accommodate my customers. When I filled out my profile preferences, I specified that I would make a price for walking two dogs of the same family granted the 2 dogs could walk together( which you can't precise). The other day I received a request from 2 roommates asking me to walk their 2 dogs. Since only one of them has a profile on Rover, they added the 2 dogs as they belong to the same person so when they did the request the price that I was going to be paid was 2 dogs of the same family. Which I don't mind but the thing is these 2 dogs can't be walked together. So I would need to walk one for 30min then the other one for 30min. My question is: isn't it supposed to be 2 separate walks pricing? What would you do in a similar case?

I don't want to seem greedy or anything. Thank you

Agree with all of the others. Make it clear to those clients that the additional dog rate can only be used when the dogs are walked together. Because the dogs cannot be walked together, then you will have to adjust the billing to reflect two separate walks of 30 minutes each.

You are not being greedy. Those people are being unrealistic and should realize what a discounted "additional dog" rate means. Besides it is only a measely $4 difference.

I'm sure others more experienced will eventually comment, but to me it seems like that there's a per dog add-on that's in place, with the understanding that it's not a full rate b/c the dogs will be walked at the same time.

If i had to walk the dogs separately, it would be full price for each walk, b/c the fee is per 30min. walk. 2 dogs separately=1 hour billable time.

I agree if they want 30min walks for each dog then it should be billed as one hour.

I would ask them to book each dog separately for their separate walks. You can modify the booking to only include one dog. And then suggest that they create a second booking for the second dog.

That way each dog gets a 30-minute walk and each owner can use their own card for payment, as well as, each owner will receive their own rover number and report card for each walk.

This way also ensures that you get paid for each dog as a whole 30-minute walk.
