asked a question Is it fair to charge a cleaning fee if the owner did not notify me of their dogs incontinence?

The owner never shared that her dog had incontinence issues.

I do not limit puppies or seniors, but I ask that owners of puppies, that are not yet potty trained, and older senior, who have accidents, to bring their own puppy pads and bed.

This helps reduce the amount of cleaning necessary during their stay.

Except the owner never even mentioned it, and now my bedroom rug has urine stains and my whole bedroom smells of dog urine.

We have taken her out multiple times throughout the night, and it did not seem to help.

The rug will cost a few hundred dollars to have cleaned, and the visit won't even bring in a hundred dollars.

What would you say to the owner and how much would you charge for such damage due to the owner's lack of respect and honesty.

commented question I bought more food for the dogs. Will Rover reimburse me?

I would think they will pay you back in cash for the dog food. I would not worry about if they don't pay you back until after they return.

answered a question 2 dogs (same house) that can't walk together, what would you do?

I would ask them to book each dog separately for their separate walks. You can modify the booking to only include one dog. And then suggest that they create a second booking for the second dog.

That way each dog gets a 30-minute walk and each owner can use their own card for payment, as well as, each owner will receive their own rover number and report card for each walk.

This way also ensures that you get paid for each dog as a whole 30-minute walk.

answered a question is it easy for clients to get a refund before the boarding period starts?

When I have owners pushing back meet and greet appointments, or they delay paying for the booking, I remind them that spots are filling quickly and if they want to be sure to have a spot saved for them, they need to accept the booking.

You can remind them of your cancellation policy. But in my experience during the Holidays, owners are anxious to set bookings early in preparation for travel.
