| answered a question | Charging for walking multiple dogs? When I walk multiple dogs I charge the rate for a walk(for you it would be $12) then I charge $5 extra for each additional dog. I would definitely be careful waking all three and maybe only taking 2 then 1 to see how they walk/play together. Hope this helps! |

| answered a question | How long should I walk my dog? It really depends on the dogs age and breed. If it's an older dog it probably won't have as much energy to walk as long as a 1 year old lab. Certain breeds also have much more energy. An example would be a chihuahua probably doesn't have as much energy as a pit bull. Also think about how long their legs are vs. yours. If it's a smaller breed they will most definitely tire out quicker because for every 2 steps you take they are probably taking about 5. So they are putting in much more energy to walk than you are. But that is just an example-you would have to judge based on your experience with the dog. Every dog is different so try to gauge as best as you can when the dog is tired or when they need a break. |
| answered a question | Has anyone used Stray Pet to find missing pets? I've never heard of that either. I think your best bet would be to put up posters, post on Facebook pages(depending on your area many counties have lost and found websites on Facebook) so that you can have your bases covered. I would also contact your closes animal shelters, pounds, and animal hospitals and let them know the information of the dog missing in case anyone brings the pet in. Of course having them microchipped is never a bad thing(: |
| answered a question | Do you agree with Rover Cards? I think rover cards are great, both being a pet sitter and having my pet sat via rover. They let you know how long your pet is being cared for, lets you know how many times they went potty and etc. Overall the cards make me feel better when my dog is being watched because I like to know what exactly happened(not sure about you but my dog is like my kid and I'm pretty overprotective). The same when you start a card for a walk- it shows where they went. Therefore if I didn't want my walker taking my dog there I could easily let them know instead of worrying about it. I understand the issue of some not having service or updated phones but I think that should be dealt with case by case with the owners |
