I personally think you should walk you dog for about 45 mins or 3 times a day for about 15-20 mins.

It really depends on the age of the pup and their personality! if you're just taking your dog out for a quick walk I would say 5-10 minutes. However if your dog loves walking you can take them out for a long walk for about an hour. I personally take my pup to a community park about a half a mile from where I live. We'll run around the park for a bit and then once were tired we'll walk back home! This typically takes about an hour or two but I always make sure to have a bottle of water and her traveling bowl in hand!

I base the length of walks around the age and breed of the dog as well as the temperature and weather conditions. I try to do a minimum of 10-15 minutes per walk. On good days, my dog and I will go out for walks that are closer to an hour long. When we go on long walks or hiking in State Parks I make sure to bring water with us and take breaks.

It depends on the dog's breed, age, energy level, health, etc. Your dog should easily settle down in the house, and not appear to have pent up energy. Some dogs are fine with a short walk each day, others need an hour + of vigorous exercise daily.

For adult and healthy dogs, most breeds will be thrilled to walk with you as long as you wish. There will be exceptions for some breeds, for example the bulldog. This breeds gets significantly overheated and cannot exert too much energy and also does poorly in hot climates. What breeds and ages are you considering in your question?

It really depends on the dogs age and breed. If it's an older dog it probably won't have as much energy to walk as long as a 1 year old lab. Certain breeds also have much more energy. An example would be a chihuahua probably doesn't have as much energy as a pit bull. Also think about how long their legs are vs. yours. If it's a smaller breed they will most definitely tire out quicker because for every 2 steps you take they are probably taking about 5. So they are putting in much more energy to walk than you are. But that is just an example-you would have to judge based on your experience with the dog. Every dog is different so try to gauge as best as you can when the dog is tired or when they need a break.

Similar to other responses, it depends on the dogs breed, age, and overall "activity level". For example, I walk an older pug for only 15 minutes, 25 minutes max to make sure he doesn't overheat in the San Diego weather. However, I'll walk a higher energy Husky for 45 minutes. Additionally, if you're unable to walk a high energy dog for a long time, a good game of fetch is more efficient at killing excess energy :)
