I have four dogs here today. One of them has started coughing and spitting up white foam. I suspect it's kennel cough. How should I protect the other dogs. I have separated them, but there is foam in several places and I don't know how the infection spreads.

What's the best way to clean this up to prevent infection?

Is there something I need to do to sanitize the house after the dog leaves to prevent future infections?

Should I alert the other owners? I am not sure it is kennel cough yet.

During the meet and greet the owners assured me the dog was crate trained and slept in it's crate at night with no problems. The reality is the dog barks and whines in it's crate, hates to even go in it. It will bark until we let it into our bed to sleep with us. We don't want dogs sleeping with us, but have made an exception here. i have the dog for two weeks. If I knew this I obviously wouldn't have accepted. I'll know better next time but is there something I can do now to get the dog out of my bed.

I just started with Rover. I looked at rates of other sitters in the area and they were $40 per day with a second dog from the same family being $35. I quoted those prices, but the customers said they only wanted to pay $60 total. I turned them down and they seemed a bit miffed. Is $40 + $35 fair for two dogs? Do other sitters negotiate off of their published prices? I ended up booking two other dogs for full price so it worked out for me. What are other sitters doing for multiple dog discounts?

When boarding more than one dog overnight, what sleeping arrangements do you use? Do you let them all sleep in your bedroom, put them in crates, separate rooms? What suggestions do you have for boarding 2 or three dogs overnight?
