answered a question | A woman tried to book a stay with me, and asked me to drive to another state to pick up her dog. Is this normal? You should call Rover Support and report this person, its absolutely a scam and you should stop replying to them asap. |

commented answer | What should I do about a dog marking? I asked the owner if he marks and they said no, not at all! So to my surprise when im watching TV the guy just peed all over my couch corner.. I have this boy for 4 more nights, wish me luck! |
answered a question | what should i do if the dog is not house trained? I personally charge extra for a dog that is not house broken but if you took a dog in with a pre existing condition then you should have known the side effects of it. You could just take him out constantly, maybe give him a diaper and keep a bucket and mop handy! |

asked a question | What should I do about a dog marking? I have a male american bulldog in my care and he keeps marking in my house! Do you guys charge extra for something like this or do you just get a diaper and charge the owners for the purchase? He has done this three times and its only the first day! |

answered a question | Newbie to dog boarding- any advice? Hi!
I wanted to throw in some advice that you havent stated.
I require my rover dogs to be UTD on shots and have flea and tick preventative as the last thing you want is a flea infestation. I have my own crate but I implore the owners to bring their own. |
answered a question | No bookings yet? When I first started it took me about 2 weeks before I started getting requests! They will come but you can up your chances by making business cards, flyers and posts on craigslist. |
answered a question | Should I continue this stay or end it early? You need to think of your safety and the dogs safety! If you are in any way uncomfortable or feel you/the dog will be injured than find another sitter and let that sitter know exactly what to expect..but from what I'm hearing, I would personally end it early. You can also call Rover Support and explain your situation. |

commented question | Does my puppy have anxiety at my parents’ house? To her it may just be the move, some dogs are very sensitive to that. You're able to talk to your vet and explain your situation and she might have a answer for you, you can also get "rescue remedy" drops, they calm pooches down and you can get them at walmart! |
answered a question | would you require making posters of buying rovers business cards ? I recently putout a batch of posters. Its pretty cheap at Staples, you can just email your design to their printers and boom! its printed and if you're worried about the elements you can also get them laminated and pin them to local bulletin boards! Also keep in mind that you can also put your flyers in mailboxes! |
asked a question | What do I do when owner doesn't confirm? I have a pretty long stay coming up and the meet and greet went better than I ever could imagine! Not only did our dogs get along but we as humans did as well. He hasn't responded to my attempts to reach out or accepted the booking and its about to expire in about two hours. What do I do if he reaches out after it expires? |

answered a question | How to tell owners their dog needs to be groomed ? The best way to bring something like this up is to be as polite as possible, i used to work at a salon and sadly people do not understand how grooming is necessary on certain breeds for their health. I would personally say
"Its always a pleasure to brush out (name) but I think a good bath and a shape up at the groomers would suit (name) better because they have high velocity dryers that can push dirt, access fur and knots out better than my brush can, I'd be happy to refer you to a great groomer and continue to brush (name) out when I watch him." |
asked a question | What do I do about aggression? Okay so I have a wonderful dog in my care at the moment, the meet and greet went as fabulous as it could go and my dog got along with her so well. Now the dog is starting to show teeth when my dog walks by her, he hasn't done anything to provoke her in any way. How should I act about this? I don't want her to have an uncomfortable stay but I don't want my dog to feel uncomfortable in his own home? |
