answered a question discounts for repeat clients?

I'm raising my rates. I just learned that the insurance through rover is really nothing at all. Its merely a mediator to get all parties involved to pay each other. So, If I continue to do this I need to buy my own insurance. That cost needs to be covered in the bookings. I see people trying to sit $20 a night. That is insane when you have an instance where I just did and have to pay out of pocket for a $600 vet bill. Just trying to make $20.

commented question Flakey Bookings?

The booking score is a crock of crap. I have about 5 flaky booking inquires a week. But when I looked to board my dogs for vacation I didnt even see those ratings on the app.

commented question Anyone with Trouble Getting (Pet-Friendly) Apartment Buildings to Allow Boarding?

apartments usually have a claus in the lease saying that you are not allowed to operate a business of any kind out of your apartment. Even as a freelance graphic designer that was always something an asshole landlord could evict me over.

commented question How do I handle a client requesting house sitting for 1 animal whereas it's actually 7-9?

You can modify the price. Include them all. If they dont confirm the booking you arent responsible. That is an excessive amount of animals.

commented answer Why are owners not rated and reviewed?

Waiting for an accident to happen!? Ive been sitting for almost 3 yrs. I have had lots of 'accidents'. Dogs destroying my house, bitting me, you name it but Rover doesnt protect its sitters only the owners. We should rate clients. Ive had people know I had cats but lie and let their dog come into

So I have to wait 7 days to take action. Its going on day 2. I keep adding to the extended stay.

asked a question What do you do if a pet owner does not pick up their pet and you do not hear from them?

I have had 2 cats for a month. They never responded to updates I gave about the cats. I know they were supposed to be going to some kind of treatment center but their booking has ended and the cats are still here.

I usually send every picture the same way. Through my text messages from Rover via my phone where I take the pictures.

asked a question Have you ever had a dog jump at your window tearing down blinds waiting for owner to return?

I had one do it. Couldnt even distract him with treats. I had to block room with front window. Is there a Rover assistance with property damage from a person's dogs? Just curious.

commented question How many dog owners are asking a question to which they know the answer to enter the contest?

commented answer Owner wants me to watch the dogs fro 2 days but booked it as 1 overnight stay for only 1 day rate. How do I fix?

The pet owners adjusted it to cover both days. I think it would be nice if there was a breakdown in the menu options to include daycare and over night. It would save the hassle of sounding greedy having to sort it out yourselves or sound like you are trying to do something outside of what Rover offers. It just sounds that way to me. If it was set up in menu for day care it could also confirm drop off and pick up times. I just think it would be great help. If they drop off the dogs on Thursday at 7am, then the 24 hr over night stay ends on Fri at 7am when they drop them off for the 2nd day.

Wish they would make the options clear when booking between day care and over night care

asked a question Owner wants me to watch the dogs fro 2 days but booked it as 1 overnight stay for only 1 day rate. How do I fix?

They want me to watch the dogs 7 am - 5 pm both days with no overnight. However, they booked it as a single overnight stay with both dates. How do I make sure I get paid for both days?
